We HAD to laugh when we heard that George Lopez checked into the Fairmont Kea Lani Hotel in Maui with his “daughter.” Hotel staffers thought it was sweet that George, who mysteriously registered under the name “George Montgomery,” was spending vacation time with his daughter. It didn’t take them long to notice that the pretty young brunette was his GIRLFRIEND, not his daughter! Observers believe it was the same young woman (above) that newly single George took out to dinner recently in LA.

Now that he’s separated from his wife of 17 years who gave him her kidney, George Lopez isn’t wasting any time. The talk show host is out on a date with a beautiful girl. George and his mystery woman had dinner at Matsuhisu and it was the first time there for both. George is looking quite spiffed up with the new facial hair and purple scarf.

GEORGE LOPEZ’S TEMPER HAS STAFFERS RUNNING SCARED

We never realized that George Lopez had an explosive temper – maybe his talk show, “Lopez Tonight” on TBS, is jangling his nerves. A source told us that recently he’s been horrifying his staffers with his outbursts of temper in FRONT of the audience. Losing it backstage is one thing, but doing it in front of fans is never a good idea. We hear that producers are afraid to remind George to please hold up a guest’s CD or book because he snarls “DON’T TELL ME WHAT TO DO!” He explodes at people so easily that staffers are scared – they’re tip-toeing around on eggshells, afraid to set him off. Has anyone out there experienced George’s temper?
