MRS MAISEL SERIES IS A FEAST FOR THE EYES

We saw this photo of Rachel Brosnahan filming on location in New York and we fell in love with The Marvelous Mrs Maisel all over again. The production design makes us swoon, and the fashions, hair and makeup work on this series is beyond perfection. They ALL deserve Emmys! Just LOOK at the curlers Rachel is wearing in her hair to obtain the perfect wavy page boy from the early 60’s! We’ve never seen these curlers, but they are no doubt totally authentic from the 60’s time period of the show. It’s little touches like this that make Mrs Maisel so deliciously original. Can’t WAIT for season 4!

Amy Schumer Life & Beth Michael Rapaport

AMY SCHUMER : THE BUCK STOPS HERE

Having a two year old (Gene) at home apparently isn’t keeping Amy Schumer busy enough, so she is writing, directing, producing, AND starring in a new Hulu series called Life & Beth. The 10 episode comedy series just started filming in New York with Michael Rapaport and Michael Cera co-starring. It’s about a successful New York businesswoman with a desirable boyfriend and a seemingly perfect life. An unforeseen incident changes everything and she is forced to examine her past and figure out what happened. The story includes flashbacks to her teen years and Rapaport (above) plays father to her teen self.

Best Dressed Carey Mulligan Oscars Valentino

CAREY MULLIGAN IS STILL A WINNER

Carey Mulligan may not have won a Best Actress Oscar, but she won our Best Dressed vote. It’s been awhile since we’ve seen a significant group of red carpet gowns, so the Oscars were a welcome relief. After reviewing all the choices, (and seeing this Vogue photo) we decided Carey Mulligan’s Valentino Couture gown was the most amazing dress at the Oscars. It fit perfectly and it’s not a dress we feel like we’ve seen before. Carey was surrounded by a sea of sexy low cut gowns with high slits and she remains elegant without all that skin displayed. We can only imagine the size of the vehicle she arrived in, with this huge skirt….

Despite the fact that Legally Blonde made her famous (we REALLY loved her first film -at age 14- The Man in the Moon) Reese Witherspoon is WAY smarter than she appears to be. She runs successful businesses and a production company along with being one of the highest paid actresses in Hollywood. And she was NOT born into a famous or wealthy family – just an educated family.

Growing Pains Kylie Jenner Stormi Stormi Webster

IT’S NOT EASY BEING KYLIE’S DAUGHTER

It’s a little sad that these Kardashian kids have to grow up SO fast and barely have time to enjoy their childhood. Seems like they are being groomed to be celebrities at an awfully early age. Kylie Jenner and her little girl Stormi had dinner at the very adult restaurant Nobu in Malibu and we can’t help but ponder many questions. For example, WHAT did Stormi eat? (Do they have mac and cheese?) Stormi is awfully cute but she must spend a LOT of time having her hair done because it always look perfect. Do you suppose she ENJOYS wearing leather pants? Can a three year old be trusted with a designer handbag? And she’s flaunting some major jewelry. How long will it be before Stormi Webster (her dad Travis Scott’s real last name) trades in the sneakers for heels?

House of Gucci Lady Gaga Smoking

LADY GAGA: “PAPARAZZI” ARE THE LEAST OF HER PROBLEMS

Director Ridley Scott must be putting Lady Gaga through the wringer in Italy where they are STILL filming (seems like many months) House of Gucci, and she is FRAZZLED. Carrying the starring role in only her second movie (filled with established successful actors) is daunting in itself. Gaga has pages of dialog to prepare every day, along with hair and wardrobe changes galore. The pressure has gotten to her. Gaga was seen sneaking cigarettes off-camera. This is significant because in 2020 she abruptly quit her two-packs-a-day smoking habit with GREAT difficulty. When the worst was over, she declared that she would NEVER smoke again. House of Gucci made her break that promise to herself. We feel bad for her and hope she will get a grip when this is over.

Animals Boyfriend Eccentricities Fashion No Pants Wendy Williams

WENDY WILLIAMS: STUFFED ANIMALS YES- PANTS NO!

We’ve seen Wendy Williams in some odd and eccentric outfits- especially since she became single. But this sweatshirt decorated with stuffed animals around the shoulders that she wore on her way to work today is one of the oddest. She paired the sweatshirt with nude fishnet tights- no pants! Luckily her bizarre fashion choices have not repelled the new man in her life. Mike Esterman, 53, is either a real estate executive or a contractor – depending on who you ask. He lives in Maryland so they talk a lot but haven’t been able to spend much time together. It’s interesting that they met during the Date Wendy segment on her show- she picked him out of a group of available guys.

Madonna, 62, is enjoying the fantasy of filtered photographs as much as Khloe Kardashian – maybe more. In this photo she and her boyfriend Ahlamalik Williams, 27, appear to be about the same age! She posted this photo captioned “Happy birthday my love, thank you for opening my eyes …let’s get unconscious! She and her former backup dancer Malik have been together for two years and living in her NY apartment throughout the pandemic. Looks like he introduced her to the joys of cannabis.

Anxiety Gigi Hadid Lucky One Direction Zayn Malik

THE LUCKIEST GUY IN NEW YORK

He enjoys NOT being noticed SO much that Zayn Malek will probably continue wearing a mask long after everyone else has stopped, in spite of the fact that he was blessed with drop-dead good looks. He’s also lucky to have a girlfriend (Gigi Hadid) who is not only gorgeous but VERY successful, and she just gave birth to his child with no marriage commitment. Zayn blames extreme anxiety for his antisocial behavior, but he should have gotten a grip on it by now. In 2015 he walked out on perhaps the most successful music group of all time – One Direction -at the height of their popularity, and left his bandmates in SHOCK. He didn’t even try to explain or mend friendships with them. Why? He says he wants to have a solo career, but backed out of touring. Zayn is extremely lucky, but remains his own worst enemy.

Foie Gras PETA

PETA KNOWS HOW TO KILL YOUR APPETITE FOR ANYTHING THAT MOVES

Every once in awhile PETA makes a good point but it’s usually not easy to look at. They set up an anti foie gras protest outside the Houses of Parliament in London. A PETA activist at a dinner table was being “force-fed” her dinner the same way foie gras makers pump grain into the stomachs of terrified geese and ducks to enlarge their livers to produce the expensive delicacy. Banning foie gras is NOT a bad idea…
