I feel bad for her. She is a very good actress and get no work since her arrest. So many other "stars" are freakier than she is, but hide it well and can't act to save their lives.

She looks nutty out the eyes. One wonders what happened to her that a highly paid movie star would shoplift. She has had less-than-perfect relationships that have fizzled out. Could it be she just needs attention. She for sure needs help. Can a shrink out there help?

she looks surprised that anyone wants to take her photograph!
she may have a few problems but IMO, she deserves a second chance.
Unfortunately, once people have a bad opinion of you, that impression never leaves their brain.
on top of all that, her last few films have bombed.
Girl Interrupted was Winona Horowitz's pet project. GI supposed to take her career further as an actor and a producer, all it did was make Angelina Jolie a star.
Must be disappointing!

Winona NEVER goes "shopping" without her array of commodious bags.
Believe it: When she walks into ANY shop in BH or SF, the staff goes on HIGH ALERT.
She should have left the scene long ago, and gone someplace to get her head screwed on straight (which I suppose would mean we'd instead be hearing about her shoplifting forays at the Oklahoma City Wal-Mart).

I don't know is the following is true but I think it provides some insight into the troubles that have been plaguing WR.
I've heard/read Gwen Paltrow managed to steal the role in Shakesphere In Love from Winona Ryder. They were friends at the time, Ryder was up for the role but Paltrow pulled a fast one, auditioned for the part and went onto win the AA award for it.
