Egad! It's time to put in an emergency call to Victoria Beckham- quick before the fashion police arrest Katie Holmes! Apparently Katie's Scientology stylist just isn't up to snuff. We don't know WHAT Posh would think about those jeans and socks. Did Katie put Tom's clothes on top of her own? But the really scarey part is the hairstyle. Katie isn't even 30 yet!
On Sunday, Victoria Beckham flew from LAX to Newark for meetings about her fashion business in New York and we learned a lot about her flying habits. She arrived at the airport immaculately attired in a form fitting little outfit and very high heels. (Always camera ready!)
When she and several companions boarded the plane she immediately changed into sweats and sneakers for the flight. (THAT'S how she looks so fresh when she arrives!) She sat in first class with her hairdresser (possibly named Rudolfo) and the other people she was with sat in coach. Flight attendants were wary at first, but Posh was very friendly and talkative and completely won them over. (They were all drooling over her amazing red ostrich handbag.)
Victoria only had water and Diet Pepsi during the 5 and ½ hour trip - NO food. During dinner Victoria was back in coach gabbing with her companions and she sent a bodyguard up to her seat to eat her meal. She chatted with everyone seated around her both in coach and first class. Flight attendants and other travelers were surprised at her accessibility and good humor. Before the flight ended Victoria dressed up in her tight clothes and high heels and disembarked looking cool and collected.
Victoria Beckham is a big personality and a powerful influence on her friends. She and Kate Beckinsale have gotten very chummy, and Kate 's other friends are worried that Posh might be a bad influence. They say "Kate is getting so skinny that her clothes are falling off of her." Posh's minimal eating habits might be rubbiing off on Kate, who is already thin, and once had a problem with anorexia. Victoria gave Kate some of her dVb jeans and is also urging Kate to bob her long hair and she's considering the idea. (Didn't Katie Holmes just go through all this?) Apparently, Victoria just can't resist making over her friends.

It was definitely a wake-up call to Victoria Beckham when she learned that her pricey jean line dVb has NOT been selling well. In facts Kitson owner Fraser Ross publicly chastised Posh for not making a personal appearance at his shop to promote the lagging line. Immediately Victoria pulled on a pair of her own creations (which we rarely see her wearing) and marched over to Robertson Blvd. Shoppers were thrilled, photographers were delighted, and Kitson sold some jeans. Mission accomplished.
Guess who's shopping in our very own Whole Foods market in Beverly Hills? (And probably wearing the highest heels those aisles have ever encountered.) Victoria Beckham clicked up and down, around the store, admiring the plants and greenery, and purchasing cereal and milk. She moved rapidly and had a large bodyguard right behind her so heads turned as she zipped by.

Earlier this week Victoria Beckham planned to fly in to LA to attend a birthday party for a stylist friend of hers. During the party, which took place at Goa, she called and apologetically said she'd be late because her flight was delayed. When Victoria finally landed, she dressed in a hurry and rushed to Goa, but found it was closed and the party was over! It was 3 AM but she had no intention of missing her friend's special day, so she dashed over to his house to personally wish the surprised guy a happy birthday and present him with a gift.

We haven't seen David and Victoria Beckham out on the town lately because they've been back in the UK. David got an award for some soccer achievement and the couple celebrated at Baccarat restaurant there. It's interesting how Victoria keeps her face perfectly composed for photos - she's never laughing like a hyena or talking out of the side of her mouth. We're growing ever fonder of that purple handbag.
Project Runway winner Christian Siriano made a big splash on his visit to Los Angeles. He brought an array of fashions to show to his idol Victoria Beckham in anticipation of having fittings and taking orders from her. He landed a cameo playing himself on Ugly Betty, and he gushed to WWD that a woman he met at a fancy party asked him to make her wedding dress. "I took one look at her ring and was like "Let's go, girl!"
Victoria Beckham is enduring a lot of criticism in the UK because instead of using her husband David Beckham as a model for her new dVb brand denim line, she used a lookalike model. Actually it is a very SMART move on her part. For one thing, pictures of David would draw attention AWAY from the jeans and to him. And guys might feel a bit foolish or intimidated buying Beckham's pants. We think Victoria made the right decision.

Check out the body language of these three glamorous women in the choice seats in the front row of the Roland Mouret fashion show in Paris. It's Dita Von Teese, Claudia Shiffer and Victoria Beckham. There's definitely an air of competition here. The two shorter ones are straining to reach their maximum height. Claudia the model is modestly slumping so she won't look too gigantic. Posh has assumed a model pose to out- maneuver the others. Who's the hottest?

Somebody call Victoria Beckham! Paris Hilton has stolen Posh's haircut! Note the new do Paris is flaunting. Maybe she's hoping to catch the eye of David Beckham. Awhile back, Paris described David as "hot" - maybe that's why Victoria isn't interested in being her friend.
Who knew 50 Cent was Victoria Beckham's latest fashion inspiration? Here she is returning from London wearing oversize droopy hip hop trousers and a vest. All that's missing are the boxer shorts! Just when we thought this look was finally on the way out.....leave it to the Brits to bring it back.

Victoria Beckham appeared on a Japanese TV show called Smap Smap to promote the new Spice Girls, and according to observers she seemed very confused by the language barrier. At one point she got so mixed up that she actually forgot to pout, and SMILED for a photograph. While she was mugging in Japan, her husband David Beckham didn't seem happy to be left alone. He and two bodyguards - not buddies- went out for some masculine fun at the Saddle Ranch Chop House on Sunset Strip. They killed a few hours but nobody rode the mechanical bull.
Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham completed another step in her plan to conquer Hollywood. She filmed her guest appearance on Ugly Betty and stole the show. She appears as herself - playing a friend of Wilhelmina (Vanessa Williams character) who is a bridesmaid at her wedding on the show. Of course Victoria wears extravagant designer clothes and at the "bachelorette party" she pulls a "Paris Hilton" and ends up dancing on the table. The episode is titled "Nice Day for a Posh Wedding" and Victoria got paid over a hundred thousand dollars for her appearance!
Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham WAS expected to be in the audience last night at Dancing with the Stars to support her Spice sister Melanie, but she was a no show. Could she be a little ENVIOUS of all the attention Mel is getting? Coincidentally or not, the rumor has started circulating that Posh was invited to dance with The Pussycat Dolls. Past celebrities who have guest performed with the dolls are Gwen Stefani, Charlize Theron, Carmen Electra, Britney Spears, and Christina Applegate. Victoria isn't denying it, so she might be struttin' her stuff with The Dolls.
Since Victoria Beckham arranged to have permit parking on her street, she's able to leave her house without being followed so easily by paparazzi. She took advantage of her new freedom by taking her kids to one of their favorite places - Hamburger Hamlet on Sunset. It was a low key early dinner - just her, the excited boys, and the bodyguard. A witness said "She was a cute mom and totally casual in jeans - the kids were well behaved and everybody ordered burgers." (We're betting Posh didn't touch her hamburger bun.) A good time was had by all and sorry - there were NO cameras to document the moment.

You CAN fight city hall and win! Just ask Posh! The Beckhams bought that 22 million dollar house above the Beverly Hills Hotel and Victoria HATED seeing the photographers parked on the street waiting for her every day. She asked the city of Beverly Hills to change the parking rules on her street to permit parking only. At first they turned her down, but the persistent Posh appealed the decision and WON! Now she and David can leave home without a gaggle of paparazzi hot on their heels.
Paris Hilton is becoming painfully aware that Victoria Beckham is stealing her thunder and challenging her rep as the most photographed female in Hollywood. And Victoria is enjoying every moment of the competition. Due to her legal problems, Paris isn't able to drive around in her Bentley any more, so Posh one-upped her by getting a new convertible Bentley with "VB" monogrammed on the white leather seats.

It's the casually dressed Beckhams, all right, but WHERE are they? It is the Museum Of Contemporary Art? They're not paying much attention to the sculpture towering over them. Are they soaking up some LA culture? Nope, they're doing one of the things they do best - SHOPPING - at the very pricey Maxfield store on Melrose Avenue.
We still wonder "What do these people (including Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony) have IN COMMON? Most groups of pals have something alike in background or interests, but this group led by Tom Cruise is still a mystery. Of course, they must all be scientologists or at the very least, scientology sympathizers, but we're still trying to figure what pulls them together intellectually. Anyway, Tom threw this huge party at LA's Museum of Contemporary Art, for Victoria and David Beckham and they even had red carpet arrivals. (Isn't that unusual for a private party?) We didn't think Tom had that many friends - many of the 600 guests were said to be clients and people related to CAA- David's reps. Another hundred were high ranking scientologists. We love that museum and hope they got a big donation.
How UNREAL was Victoria Beckham's Coming to America "reality" show? Well, it seems most of the people on the show - including the traffic cop above - were hired ACTORS. Victoria's hairdresser and makeup artist were the real thing, but her assistant on the show was also an actress. And of course there were writing credits at the end of the "reality" show. Despite disappointing ratings, the network insists there might be another Beckham special coming up - "Christmas with the Beckhams." We'll believe it when we see it.

Did anybody else who watched the Victoria Beckham Coming to America show get the feeling she was insulting the intelligence of us Americans? She desperately wants us to like her, but this show won't make it happen. First of all, the production had nothing to do with "reality." Each scene was painstakingly contrived and scripted to make Victoria look clever and funloving. Just as we predicted, the "socialites" luncheon was a travesty. Granted the overdone house was a hoot, but it looked like Victoria gathered that particular group of ladies together just so she could feel superior to them. Victoria IS fun to look at, but she seems shallow, overindulged, pretentious, and way too interested in impressing us. And we WANTED to like her. Last night she and David went out to The Little Door and he doesn't look at all happy.
If this photo is any indication, we're not sure that Victoria Beckham's Coming to America reality show has much chance of returning after the first special next week. Did we say reality? Apparently NBC felt a ladies luncheon in which Victoria is introduced to Beverly Hills wives and socialites would make fascinating viewing. Frankly, we didn't think many genuine "socialites" would consider appearing on reality TV - remember Tom and Katie Cruise wanted nothing to do with the show. Suzan Hughes, the third wife of Mark Hughes, the founder of Herbalife who died in 2000, hosted the party above. The only face we're sure of is Marla Maples on the left. Apparently NBC is waiting to see how the Beckham's first and only show does before they commit to any more episodes.
We hate to break it to Posh, but the extravagantly sexy stilettos she favors appear to be doing permanent damage to her feet. Victoria Beckham is sashaying in the same direction as Naomi Campbell - bunions dead ahead! Christian Louboutin is not your tootsies' best friend. It's one of the few drawbacks of being rich. Victoria's big toes are being pushed inward and her joints are starting to swell. Every pointy high heel shoe will make this worse until the pain and swelling are unmanageable and permanent. Take a break in sneakers once in awhile, Posh.
English papers are obsessed with everything about Victoria Beckham and they were tickled pink to see her at the MTV Movie Awards. Backstage she and Cameron Diaz bonded when they realized they were both wearing the same ridiculously expensive Christian Louboutin stilettos. The Brits claimed Posh was embarrassed, but we think she couldn't care less. We just hope Posh makes some American friends that aren't Scientologists. Maybe it'll be easier now that she's not doing that reality show.
Looks like Victoria Beckham is a lot more skillful at talking her way out of a ticket than Paris or Nicole. Beverly Hills cops pulled her over (because she was being followed by so many carloads of paparrazzi?) and carefully checked her UK driver's license. Victoria displayed just the right amount of polite respect and sex appeal (note the peekaboo bra) and she was released without a problem. We can't help but wonder if this incident was being taped for her reality show.
Victoria Beckham is NOT about to be embarrassed when The Spice Girls get together for their upcoming reunion tour. She's alarmed because the other girls have gotten out of shape over the years. Either they've had babies or just stopped working out, but they're heavier and not so sexy. Posh is the only Spice girl who's in better shape - at least slimmer- than she was when the group was on top. She's wants the others to look great so she's become the group motivator. She's encouraging them all to try her special diet tricks and workout plans. The other girls know they need help and they're grateful - they want to be HOT again.
The Rock & Republic jean company didn't realize what they started when they invited Victoria Beckham to design her VB line of denims for them. Posh finally found something she LOVED to do, and her design aspirations have multiplied. Her years with R&R were very successful, but now she's breaking away and starting her own fashion empire with David. The newly named DVB will start with jeans and clothing and quickly move into accessories like sunglasses, and even items for the home. There's no end to the possibilities. (Interesting how Jennifer Lopez has volunteered to try out styles to make sure Posh's jeans fit girls curvier than the designer.) Victoria and David are having a big party at Kitson to introduce their new collection this summer.
While Victoria Beckham is househunting in LA, she's temporarily living in a house on Bedford Drive in Beverly Hills. She expects to move into her own new home by next summer. The place she's living in is rumored to be a Scientology owned house so we're not sure if she is paying rent or not. But, in spite of the fact that the home is not HERS, Victoria insists on remodeling the place! She spent a hundred thousand dollars to recarpet the master bedroom and the rest of the upstairs rooms. She had the entire interior repainted in brighter colors and replaced all the showerheads, PLUS she replaced the toilet in the master bath with a fancier one. That's the kind of tenant every landlord DREAMS about!

Looks like Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie ARE starting to feel like Victoria Beckham bumped them off the paparazzi hot list. Demand for photos of Paris has leveled off - especially in the US- snappers say she's overexposed and people are turned off. Posh Spice is expected to be the new hot girl In town and Paris and friends aren't happy. (We predict Paris will eventually buddy up to Posh to share some of her spotlight - the way she did with Britney.) In an absurd attempt to drum up attention for themselves, Paris and Nicole walked into Mr Chow through the back door a few days ago. (Photographers are always camped in front of this popular Beverly Hills restaurant.) The two girls said hello to a few people and walked right through the restaurant without eating. They strolled out the front door into a blast of flashbulbs. They've gotta have that fix.
No sooner did the rumor about the Beckhams doing a reality series like the Osbournes start circulating, than real estate red carpets started rolling UP. At first, everybody was courting Victoria and David Beckham and hoped they'd move in next door. Sellers were thrilled when Posh came to check out their homes. That was BEFORE anybody heard about the dreaded "reality series." Homeowners in upscale neighborhoods REMEMBER all the hoopla caused by TV cameras when the Osbournes were filming at home. The Osbournes' humorless neighbors were aggravated by all the noise, the giant trucks and equipment blocking their streets (especially inconvenient in the hills) and strangers with walkie talkies or toolbelts wandering around. It became a war zone. If they decide to do the reality show, we suggest the Beckhams RENT for the duration. Then they can move away from the neighbors who hate them after the show is over.
We predicted this from day one. Victoria Beckham is starting to influence Katie Holmes when it comes to WEIGHT. Katie is not a size zero - she's a nicely proportioned slim girl. But whenever she's photographed next to narrow Posh, she looks like a Clydesdale. It's enough to make a girl self conscious! Katie can't help but feel extra large next to her svelte friend and it's getting to her. Ms Cruise is doing everything she can to appear smaller and it started with the body shaper peeking out above.. She was caught wearing a slimming foundation garment to control those hips. This is only the FIRST inevitable step. A vegetable diet CANNOT be far behind.
Can anybody out there translate what's written on the back of Victoria Beckham's neck? We'd also like to know just how LONG this tattoo is (down to her waist?) and what language it's in. Was it perhaps inspired by the characters in Apocalypto?
We can't pass up another fashion moment with girlfriends Victoria Beckham and Katie Holmes. They went out to an Armani party in Paris the other night and again their radically different style is apparent. Posh is fashion forward in her wide belted bubble dress with puff sleeves. She looks young and cute. But Katie must have picked her suit from the Armani "mature woman" collection (think Joan Collins.) And she topped it off with a brooch! Is Tom's mother picking Katie's outfits? We hope some of Posh's frivolity will rub off the the serious Scientologist.
Poor little Paris Hilton. She's going to feel awful the first time photographers shove her aside to get to Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham. But the fact is, there's a bigger photo-op in town . Victoria hasn't even moved to LA yet and she's already the number one paparazzi target. When Posh visited The Grove recently to shop at Abercrombie & Fitch she was allowed to break all the rules. The Grove is a walking mall - there are no cars allowed. But Posh got permission to have her big black Escalade driven right up to the store's front door! No one had EVER seen a car on the mall walkway so it drew an enormous amount of attention. Shoppers came running to see WHO was in the car and clerks abandoned their stores to gape. What an entrance! Michael Jackson, Gwen Stefani, Jessica , Paris, and Lindsay - all visit the mall on foot. LA is already treating Victoria like royalty.

We're starting to think that Katie Holmes Cruise and Victoria Beckham don't have so much in common. Look how the girlfriends dressed for lunch at the Ivy: Katie acknowledges that it's winter, and wears a turtleneck, a warm coat, and pants - she looks like she's ready to watch a soccer game. Victoria, on the other hand, looks like she's going to a garden party - she's wearing a sleeveless white ruffled summery dress and NO jacket! These two are not on the same wavelength!
Victoria "Posh Spice" Beckham couldn't wait to get to LA to go house shopping and visit all the Abercrombie & Fitch stores she can find! Vicky's penchant for the moderately priced sportswear emporium is puzzling- it's about as opposite as you can get from John Galliano couture. We suspect the reason she's obsessed with this store is because they don't have them in Europe. It's strictly American. Posh just left the store at the Grove (the second A&F she's visited this week) where she reportedly stocked up on LA apparel for herself. More teensy tank tops, shorts and little T shirts. Afterward she hopped in that big black Escalade and took off.
THIS is how Victoria Beckham dressed for Tom and Katie's wedding festivities. Is Victoria sending out a message that she's down with outer space aliens? We LOVE the way she looks, (and Italian fans gave her the biggest ovation we hear) but judging by this outfit, she'll be the first wedding celebrity to sign up for Scientology courses.
Scientology LOVES Hollywood POWER COUPLES. These four couples may not realize it, but Scientologists are working overtime to lure them into the fold. Each of these famous and successful pairs would be a huge trophy for the organization and they've been under scrutiny for awhile. Slowly but surely Scientologists have been forming friendships with the twosomes. Leah Remini is pulling Jennifer and Marc toward Scientology. Tom Cruise has been working on his Collateral costar Jada Pinkett Smith while his bride Katie Holmes is expected to sign up the Beckhams. Jim Carrey and Jenny McCarthy are a wild card- but his temperament could make him vulnerable. High ranking Scientologists will be attending Tom Cruise's over-the-top wedding in Italy and personally making sure these special people are very impressed with what Scientology does for Tom, and could do for THEM as well. There will be MAJOR recruiting going on. It'll be interesting to see who, if anyone, fall for it.
It's fashion week and we are especially vulnerable to all things related to style. We feel obligated to point out that Victoria Beckham was photographed in New York looking EXCEPTIONALLY pretty. (Above left) Is it just the RED lipstick? (She usually wears a light beige) Is it the slightly lighter matte skin tone? (She usually has that orangey shiny tan ) WHATEVER it is -we think it WORKS! Do you agree?
Victoria and David Beckham never disappoint us. Despite their personal problems, they remain style icons - the best dressed, coolest looking couple in the universe! They're stylishly rumpled and low key so they don't look like they're trying too hard. We never get tired of looking at these two.
It's not fun being accused of having a fake bottom! Jessica Simpson suffered that indignity when she was flaunting her backside in daisy dukes in The Dukes of Hazzard. Ricky Martin was also accused of enhancing his backside by adding padding to his jeans, when he was on tour a few years ago. (He immediately hit the gym and built up an impressive genuine butt. ) Latest to be accused is Victoria Beckham whose apparently curvy backside is featured in fragrance ads with her husband David. Brits claim it looks like Jennifer Lopez's lush bottom has been electronically grafted onto Victoria's svelte body. Do you agree?
