We hear that Tyra Banks' staffers are disgruntled because they got no Christmas gifts even though they uprooted from LA and moved to New York for her. It's rumored that Tyra moved her show to New York because she had a boyfriend there, but she negotiated a 30 million dollar deal. She DID throw a modest holiday party at a lower east side dive bar and her employees drank a lot because there was no food. According to our source, Tyra arrived for a brief stop, looking like a million bucks, and said she was on her way to Italy. Before she left, she told them "I want to thank you guys for working so hard- - I have a special guest - here's Santa!" Everybody ran to Santa's big bag and found it was full of limp McDonald's cheeseburgers! Employees got cheeseburgers for Christmas! (Our source isn't sure if the higher-ups got private bonuses but the everyday people didn't.) Staffers tore open their burgers, hoping for gift certificates. Nothing. Unhappy workers ended up drinking themselves senseless and brawling in the street. One needed an ambulance. Tyra could learn a thing or two about generosity from Oprah.

I'm as secular as anyone else when it comes to Christmas, but it's upsetting to think that people are so demanding about receiving a gift. It's not an automatic, and you don't get to dictate what your gift will be. Be grateful for what you _do_ have, a job you can feed your family with. Enough with the complaints about "I didn't get more".

I was near the bar they were having their party at and overhead some conversation between the employees and i recall the burger part and about tyra's lack of any sort of bonus/gift. Sooo I was at the party. The McD's burgers were handed out by a wacky dude wearing a Santa suit, pretty much as a joke - not in an insulting way. Not sure about the gifts to the staff - but there weren't gifts given AT the party but who knows what they may have received on their desks that week.

I was Tyra's assistant up until recently. And can I say that she is a hypocrite and couldn't care less about what people think or say about her. Let alone her employees....I'm not mad at her anymore. well I worked for the show the 1st season and all we got was a freaking blanket!!!! I wasnt too happy, so I believe the story. And at out xmas party she came for like hour and tought some of us her dance from one music video she did a while back, then left.
