To be honest, most people I know voted for Lukas and we feel it was an honest win. He was the clear winner from day one and the others, while talented enough - were just posers or regular rockers - not rock stars.

What I found odd was the Survivor promo that ran about 8:30pm, give or take, that used Lukas's song "Headspin" as well as pics of him. Then at the end of the show, another promo for Survivor but without the Lukas stuff. I think somebody screwed up and mixed up the promos. I honestly didn't think the show was fixed, however, when I saw that promo mix up, I was like...no way....Lukas is gonna win...the rumor was true! Don't gloat too much. One did not need 'inside information' to know that Lukas was going to win. He simply was the most charismatic contestant and the one whose own musical style fit best with the band.

So what if they (the band and producers) liked Lukas from the moment he auditioned for the show? It's to be expected that they had a favorite. But nothing was set in stone. If the fans didn't like Lukas, he wouldn't have gotten far.

It was not that hard to figure out that Lukas would win. He is by far the only one who cold possibly last playing with Tommy. Also Lukas is the only one with actual credentials, so if the band did not choose him they would be morons. Yes there were better singers on Rockstar but none had that special edge that Lukas had. So way to go and predict the obvious, your so good. The voting had nothing to do with Rockstar anyways; the decision was up to the band in the end (or in the beginning). The voting was just to give the show some fling to keep people into seeing if their favorite singer was in jeopardy or not. So way to go and be a class act, brilliant.

Toby and Magni seemed like a couple of sailboats without wind Tuesday night. It could be read on their faces that they weren't happy about something, but Lukas had a look of satisfaction on his face. I'm beginning to wonder myself. Lukas is good, so was Dilana, and I'm not a big fan of Dilana's because of her comments, but I think they would have done better with either her or Toby. Tommy said they were going with the one with the most votes by the fans, but Dilana was the one left sitting at the beginning of the finale, so what was the final vote count? If it's true this was decided months ago, I think it's going to play against them in the long run. I hope they do well, and that Lukas is a success, but there's still the issue of fair play. Toby, Magni, Dilana, and others there is something called the phone book with a big listing of attorneys (just a helpful hint). Didn' the credits at the end used to have Navarro and Lee as EPs, I only saw the one recently, what happened to Lee?

I was reading a post about the thousands of people who must have spent a fortune on texting their "votes" (just wait until you see your verizon bill)and how they should file a civil class action...not a bad idea. These people may have committed fraud and profitted from it. Also it seemed evident that Dilana had the most votes because she was not in the "bottom three"...AND it appeared by the expression especially on Toby's face that something was up. They may have recourse as well. ! Be honest about the premise of the show. You may have a show and do what you do but don't mislead the fans especially for personal monetary gain - This is terrible! {note to self, what do you expect when you swim with sharks?}

It was a statistical IMPOSSIBILITY for Lukas to have the highest number of votes. Dilana was NOT in the bottom two which meant ALL night long she was either No. 1 or No. 2. Lukas WAS in the Bottom two "at some point" which meant he could AT BEST have varied from being No. 1 to No. 3 and might have been No. 4, then avoided the Bottom Two.

This about Voter Fraud, not about whether any of the four would be best for the band. What I am saying is that they could have "rigged" it by picking whichever of the final two they wanted to. The FRAUD is that they first said Dilana got the highest number of votes and then once Lukas was crowned they said Lukas got the highest number of votes. They lied. Was Karl Rove counting ballots?

Just because Lukas had been in the bottom 2 at some point, doesn't mean that he did not recieve the higest number of votes. It simply means that at some point he was in the bottom 2. He could have gotten more votes as they came in and easily surpassed Dilana in the vote count. She could have been number 2 during the whole voting time. Magni could have also been number 1 at some point during the voting. So your logic of Dilana having the most votes holds no water.

And for the record Janet, just because the site picked Lukas to win on August 27th doesn't mean that you proved it was rigged. I saw him winning as soon as he sang "Rebel Yell" back in July. Just because he was the best singer for the job, doesn't mean it was rigged. There was no conspiriacy people. What would there be to gain from it? Money? Fame? Power? Come on now. Think for christ sakes!!!

Lukas was always fantastic. He came out as a front runner early in the competition, and in the end, the band chose the person they thought was best. It doesnt take a psychic to make an educated guess.

Kennedy's 'Reality Remix' had a short interview w/ Gilby where he said they knew it would be Lukas once he played with them (week 9?). My personal opinion is that Butch Walker picked Lukas in the studio before the show really got going and confirmed it week 1. And if that's the case then so-be-it. It's still Supernova's decission. Personally, I don't quite get Lukas and don't think that his style fits well w/ what SN had said they were trying to accomplish. Sounds to me like Butch is trying to fit them in with today's EMO-bands.

So Janet, what's the next 'conspiracy'? Who's already been picked to win Survivor?

Thank you Janet for printing the truth (unlike the charade CBS producers & Supernova band pulled) which explained so many inconsistencies....(1) Beginning of finale show Dilana had the most votes - end of show Tommy said Lucas had the most votes. It was obvious Dilana had the most votes throughout the whole season! (2) Verizon / Lukas commercial towards end of the finale show very obviously portraying him as the winner. (3)The obvious hatchet job by the producers to ruin Dilana's reputation when all the rockers were interviewed by the press several weeks ago (hmmm, about mid-August) ...notice how Dave N. kept saying let's put this behind you yet he kept bringing it up (4) This explains the "smug look" and no reaction of elation on the finale night when Lucas was announced the winner and the same smug look even on the prior week's show. I am a fan of Dilana (she lives in our neighborhood). Yes, Dilana did get the national / international attention and I believe she'll do fantastic, but this was a disreputable sham and fraud pulled by the CBS producers and the Supernova band. Shame on them and they should bear all of the consequences!

Remember when Magni was left sitting weeks ago and a comment was made that for the first time, we know who received the most votes.

JANET, HELP GET THE SCOOP HERE!

I hear that the reason Lukas didn't look surprised when he won was because they had to RETAPE the result segment cuz Dilana thought she won and was all ecstatic. And the embarrassment of the whole thing was why they offered her a deal to tour with them.

Is it true?

COME ON JANET. IF ANYONE CAN GET THE SCOOP, YOU CAN!!

Having watched both seasons of RockStar and have visited a couple of the chat sites, there are a few things that have completely amazed me.

1)How passionate people are of the artist they liked and now refuse to listen, buy, download or go see SN because THE BAND chose a different artist.

It doesn't matter who these guys wanted to work with or who they felt was the best, whoever they chose the out-pouring of love/hate of that decision would still be there, just with different names inserted into your comments.

2) Just because the voting and final selection didn't go our way is no reason to think the voting was a scam or fixed. There are far too many industry watchdogs and there is too much riding on the huge revenues generated by advertisers and text messaging for them to consider that.

Ultimately the voting allowed the band to see if their choice matched public opinion and dismiss one artist from the bottom three accordingly.

Regardless of who may or may not have had the most votes per episode or over the season, the band had the final choice. Get over it.

Speaking of votes, it is very likey that Lukas had more total votes than Dilana for the finale because we do not know when they tabulated the votes that showed us their positions after the first few minutes of voting or how many votes it was based on. For all we know it could have been based on the first 1,000 votes.

Also Tommy did not say that the highest votes for Lukas were from the last night, it may have been calculated over the whole season.

3) Music taste is different for everyone and just because your taste is different than theirs is no reason to slam them or their comments.

You will receive greater respect when you learn to respect others.

And besides, if you truly like rock and appreciate the art, then you'll give Lukas and SN a chance.

5) All of the artist contestants knew what they were getting into when they were honored with the opportunity to be a part of the show and do what they love doing. I am sure that none of them regret the opportunity and we all would jump at a chance to do what they did (if I could sing that is).

Plus I am sure they all signed huge contracts before they started the show so none of them could sue even if they wanted to.

5) Finally, I get a laugh out of all the people that say that the show was joke and they wasted all this time watching and voting and that they will never watch again.

I'll betcha that 99% of them will watch again next year.

BTW: even though I felt there were better singers vocally, I pegged Lukas to win from the first episode. I also picked JD from the first episode last year as well. So Janet, don't hurt yourself patting yourself on the back so much. That wasn't a tough call.

HE WILL KILL ANY SONG THEY GET HIM TO SING. LIKE HOW STUPID JASON NEWSTED PUMPED UP TOBY..SAID HIS VOICE WAS THE ONLY VOICE AND I MEAN ONLY VOICE OUT OF ALL THE ROCKERS TO ALWAYS BE HEARD OVER THE BAND NO MATTER WHAT THE NOISE LEVEL WAS AND WEEK AFTER WEEK TOBY RAISED THE BAR AND KEPT IMPROVING..THEN IN THE NEXT BREATH SAYS HE IS GOING HOME?????? YEAH LIKE THAT MAKES SENSE..SO JUST "WHY" WAS HE GOING HOME???? STUPID NEWSTED STUPID "SUPERSHITS" THEY CAN HAVE "PUKAS"..THEY ARE ALL IDIOTS AND CAN ROT IN HELL AFTER THE SHAM THEY PULLED...TOBY WILL BE MORE SUCCESSFUL WITH JUKE KARTEL ANYWAY..

It's pretty pathetic that they had to justify Lukas win by hammering Dilana for 3 weeks, don't you think? I guess she was better than they expected. I admire that girl, she fought until the bitter end. Good for her. Dilana you are the real Rockstar. Good Luck Lukass

I would like to start saying this. What right do you all have slandoring us Canadian's wwe have just as much talent as all of you around the world! I feel you are all just jellous because we have great canadian talent.. So one would make me beleive that all i have read so far you people are sick!!!!!!!!!!!!! I thought it was all a very awesome show and i really was not sure who would of won it how ever i would have been proud to who ever would have one it period regardless of where they where from. I love Tommy, Dave, Gilby,Jason, and Lukas :-). Well you all try and take care evn thought you are all just so jelous of another Canadian winner job well done Lukas you deserve it!!!! Bye all :-X

Everyone on the show was fantastically talented. That's no secret. However, it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that Dilana and Lukas had the best package going and really fit the part. Hey, look, even you figured that out. There you go...You had a 50/50 chance. Congratu-friggin-lations! Musicianship, persona and the "look" are something that comes a bit more naturally to them. Even so, they still had to fight their way to the top. But I feel for you...It must be rough to fight your way to the top when you're starting out in gossip.

Go stir the pot a bit more but don't bitch when people throw stones.

P.S. To all the other contestants...You'll always find a place for your music because you've already found a place in our hearts.

I actually predicted since day 1 that Lukas would win and Dilana would come in second. What do I get? And I actually predicted Toby & Storm would join them in the final 4. I missed by 1, but that's good enough, no?
