And we didn't even know they were acquainted! Madonna and Sharon Stone are having a private little whisper session on the red carpet in Cannes. What do you suppose they're saying?
What could be more fun than spending an afternoon with Sharon Stone and Melanie Griffith on Robertson Blvd? We can't figure out HOW these two became friends - it IS a surprise. Of course they started with lunch at The Ivy and all eyes were upon them.
We're betting they had salads or swordfish and iced tea. After a gossipy lunch they left the Ivy (that guy in the light blue shirt looks familiar, doesn't he?) and strolled down the street.
On the corner, the girls popped into the pricey but spectacular store Les Habitudes, where glamour-puss Melanie tried on a gown over her jeans and Sharon seriously considered a tailored English-looking jacket. They did a little more window shopping before they hopped in their identical Black Bentley convertibles and took off.

Those super high heel boots just aren't made for normal walking on uneven pavement. Sharon Stone was all smiles with her attractive unidentified male companion just a microsecond before this shot was taken. Her friend is oblivious to her peril. Fortunately, Sharon righted herself without kissing the pavement and she's off to Cannes - maybe in more sensible shoes.
Can it be that we have watched Sharon Stone all these years and never realized she had those big implants? A woman her age wearing a tank top with no bra is a dead giveaway that there has definitely been some major work done there. Tanks are intended for the very young and slim. Since we don't remember her wearing flimsy tank tops in the past we're going to assume this augmentation is a recent investment. Actually we preferred her slender model shape to this voluptuous look. It looked more aristocratic.

We LOVE it when we're right! Back on December 17 we broke the story about Sharon Stone's secret romance with Christian Slater. After many denials, they finally gave up pretending it wasn't happening. They spent the holidays together and Christian managed to have a good time without alcohol. Nobody had high expectations that the romance would continue into the new year, but it HAS! Not only have they made it through the holidays, but they were seen in full make out mode at the Weinstein party at Trader Vic's after The Golden Globes. They were smooching and pawing each other, paying no attention to who was watching, and we're HAPPY for them!
Is Sharon Stone hungry for attention? She showed up TWICE last week at The Ivy restaurant on Robertson Blvd - perhaps the most relentlessly paparazzi patrolled restaurant in all of LA . Her maroon velvet smoking jacket was too baggy to be much of a hit, but her trim pinstripe suit made up for it. Looks like her holiday dalliance with Christian Slater MIGHT be over.

We confess we had our doubts at first, but it seems Sharon Stone, 48, and Christian Slater, 37, really ARE a couple! They were VERY friendly while promoting their movie Bobby, and their playful and affectionate behavior at the American Music Awards left no doubt that SOMETHING was up. The fact is, they've been dating for awhile and showed up at the Dolce & Gabbana party at the Chateau Marmont arm in arm. A friend of Sharon's says "They're both really happy - but they don't have long-term expectations. It's a fun fling for the holidays and Sharon is a good influence. She rarely drinks and has three kids. It's a good match for now. "
