It's no coincidence that the story about George Clooney betting that he would never marry started circulating again. (Years ago, George bet Nicole Kidman and Michele Pfeiffer $10,000 each that he wouldn't marry before he turned 40. Nicole sent a check when he hit 40 and he sent it back saying "Double or nothing until I turn 50.") That motorcycle accident left him in a very tenuous position. When the accident happened, George was heard telling his injured girlfriend Sarah Larson that he "loved her." (She won't forget THAT soon.) And certainly he is riddled with guilt because he was responsible for her injuries, including a broken foot. He owes her BIG TIME. An accident usually bonds people together. But George is a serial dater and dead set on staying single. Hence the story about the bet "resurfaced" to soften the blow when he moves on from Sarah.

Motorcycle accidents have a way of waking guys up. Their essentially toys for guys who haven't grown up.
That guy knows that now, as he knows the importance of life and what a better way to celebrate life than do date as many women as possible.

George no doubt came to the realization that what kind of a guy who's in his 40's marry's and then has kids. Imagine those guys who are in there late 50 & 60's who's wives are having kids. Ten years from now they'll be in their teens and as wild as hell.
No doubt, if there rich they'll send them off to boarding school - never to really know there father.
That's why guys like George will probably never get married, just doesn't make good sense to do so.
