Photo Credit: Splash News Last weekend Salma Hayek invited family members together for an unusually serious lunch. Now we know why. She obviously announced to them that her engagement to the father of her child, billionaire Francois Henri-Pinault, had been called off. No wedding. Not all that surprising considering their abrupt relationship. Still, if you're going to have a baby without marriage it's nice to give your child a wealthy father. After the lunch, Salma cheered herself up with some shoe shopping with little Valentina.

THERE WERE COMMENTS ALL OVER THE WEB THAT HE HAD ALREADY FOUND SOMEONE NEW....BEFORE THE BABY WAS BORN.....SO THIS WAS WELL, EXPECTED...AND TO BE HONEST SHE DOESN'T NEED HIM.
No woman can keep a billionaire to herself, let alone a French billionaire. They all have mistresses. Anyway, she will have his balls forever to the tune of mucho dollarinos.
Salma might not have needed him for anything other than billionaire sperm (See: Elizabeth Hurley; Marla Trump et al), but baby girls need their daddy their whole lives. How come people don't seem to give a damn about the babies?
