Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughn had a period of adjustment when they started filming "Four Christmases" but they turned it around. (It's a romantic comedy about a couple attempting to visit all four of their divorced parents on Christmas.) The costars' early disagreement was all about preparation - Reese likes to rehearse and knows all her lines, while Vince loves to improvise. Once they got used to each other, they became good friends. Now they're talking about going golfing together. Reese asked Vince to get a date since her boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal wants to go with them and double team. Vince told Reese he'd like her to fix him up with one of her girlfriends. Stay tuned.

Reese Witherspoon and Jake Gyllenhaal have gone beyond text messaging - they got cell phones with walkie talkie capability so they can locate each other instantly. But both of them have a few gripes about their "in-laws." Reese tells pals that she's crazy about Jake but she doesn't think his influential sister Maggie is particularly fond of her. Jake tells his friends that he loves Reese and the kids but she's always confiding in her mom and they rarely get time to themselves when her mother is around. Family problems aside, Reese and Jake are getting closer and closer every day.
Drum roll. Heather Mills, whose divorce from Paul McCartney is STILL not final, has decided who she'd like to have play her in a bigscreen biography: Reese Witherspoon. At first Heather toyed with the idea of Heather Locklear, but she decided a serious actress like Reese is more appropriate. Heather is in talks with a Hollywood screenwriter about turning her life story into a movie and it will certainly include private not- so- pleasant situations with her estranged husband Paul. To say that she's using this upcoming movie to pressure Paul into a quick settlement is probably an understatement. If she gets enough money, we're sure the scenes with Paul will be more flattering - or maybe there won't be a movie at all.
Photo Credit: Splash NewsWhen we heard that Reese Witherspoon changed her mind and dropped out of doing the movie Bunny Lake is Missing, we weren't surprised. The film is a remake of a 60's psychological thriller about a mother whose child disappears from preschool and police try to convince her she never had a child. Joe Carnahan was set to write and direct. Reese blamed her depature on "script problems" but we think the real reason is she finally got around to watching the director Joe Carnahan's LAST feature "Smokin' Aces!" One look at THAT macho debacle was enough to change any intelligent girl's mind! Smart move, Reese.
Reese Witherspoon has mastered the art of shopping alone without being constantly pestered by fans. She was seen browsing in Fred Segal in Santa Monica and she kept a thoughtful frown on her face to discourage unwanted attention. But she stopped to look at some fancy shampoo and she caught some fans staring in her direction, nudging each other and getting ready to approach her. Our source tells us she flipped open her pricey Dolce Gabbana gold Razr phone and quickly started a VERY important sounding fake conversation. When she was sure the fans had been repelled she snapped the phone shut without any goodbyes and continued shopping. We've been told this conversation repellant system - the "flip phone fake-out" - is a staple for Paris Hilton.
