Lukas's original music is really great. I think they need someone with strong songwriting abilities. So I'm hoping this is true. The others are really good though so I don't know how accurate this is. It might be too early for decision time just yet.

I'm hoping you're information is accurate! I believe that Lukas has talent, charisma, showmanship, is reasonably close-mouthed in the face of adversity and has an innate ability to make his fans feel special.

I only wish the "auditions" had been more fair, seems to me that only one person has not only had their pick of most of the songs, but also given songs within that spectrum that were by their own admission, favourites.

Unfortunately this is what I predicted from day one, it's not like Tommy Lee didn't make it so obvious that he wanted Lukas, in his eyes he can do no wrong even though he doesn't really know how to sing, he's all image. If this is true, it's just not fair at all, how about giving everyone a fair chance? The show has been gearing for a Lukas or Dilana win from the get go. I can't stand Dilana, she can't even write a song, so I'd be okay with a Lukas win. But my personal fave is Ryan. I found his original music and it's killer. Good luck to Lukas, having to sing those superlame Supernova tracks we've heard so far. Maybe he can make them better.

Although Lukas is good, he seems more of a solo performer than Dilana or Ryan. Dilana had been my favorite but may have issues handling the pressure. She is a more mesmerizing performer than the others althought Ryan has come on. The more relevant question is whether Supernova will be around in a year.

I don't find it hard to believe at all that SuperNova has already made their choice in their minds. Although Lucas is not my personal favorite, I can see him providing edge and freshness to this group of aging rockers.

I thought Dilana was the front-runner at first, but with all the negative edits she's been getting, it looks clear that they are setting her up for a fall, as to not alienate her original fan base and provide an "excuse" for going a different direction.

Just remember last season - they had JD cast as the mega-maipulator in the house for the first half of the season, but then did an about-face with the editing to show what a "genuine guy" he is.

It's all in the edit. they can spin these people to appear any way they want them to appear.

This is about the 3rd or 4th time that I heard the winner was Lukas. Rock on!! I love him!! His voice is just amazing, and I think his vocals and writing talent are the only things that can save Supernova from dying VERY quickly. The material we've heard from the band thus far has been totally sub par. Dilana (aka Dramalana) just really screwed herself in the public eye. I hope she can regain some of the respect she's lost, and have a career, as she's mad talented. Still don't see what everyone sees in Toby - boring performer with average vocals... Zzzzzz.

San Diego, CA., (August 11, 2006) - Supernova - an Orange County, California rock and roll band that contributed its song Chewbacca to the cult movie Clerks - has filed for a preliminary injunction to halt the band being formed on the CBS television series Rock Star Supernova from performing or recording under the name Supernova alone. The request for the preliminary injunction follows a lawsuit Supernova filed on June 27, 2006 in United States District Court alleging trademark infringement against CBS Broadcasting, Mark Burnett Productions, performer Tommy Lee, and others.
Supernova claims that the parties intend illegally to use the (existing) band?s name and trademark Supernova. The band Supernova contacted Burnett immediately after learning about the proposed name for the TV show and has been in negotiations since before the June lawsuit was filed.
According to John Mizhir, Jr. an attorney with the law firm of Fish & Richardson that represents the band Supernova, Our client has taken legal action in order to preserve its rights to the name the band has worked so long and hard to establish. We tried to settle the matter quickly and fairly but after lengthy negotiations with CBS, Mark Burnett Productions and others, they left us with no options but to seek the preliminary injunction.
A hearing on the matter is sought within 28 days. Rock Star: Supernova is scheduled to air through September 27.
Founded in 1989 in Costa Mesa, California, plaintiff Supernova is made up of Jodey Lawrence, Art Mitchell, and David Collins. The band has released three full-length albums and has toured the United States extensively, participating in the Vans Warped Tour in 1995 and again in 1999.
Rock Star: Supernova is a TV show about a rock and roll band that will be made up of Motley Crue drummer Tommy Lee, former Metallica bassist Jason Newsted, and former Guns n' Roses guitarist Gilby Clarke. The show's premise is the formation of a band to be called "Supernova," with fifteen vocalists competing for the role of lead singer. The show is being produced by reality television impresario Mark Burnett.

I came across this interview video for Iceland TV. He talks about working on writing some music while he's been interred in the Rock Star mansion, conflicting whether to write in English or Icelandic. He talks about his homeland; Iceland should be proud of their ambassador of music, he's gaining international exposure and interest in Iceland along with well-representing his country. During the interview he opens up easily demonstrating a gentle humor, a depth and breadth, he comes across uniquely unaffected and natural. Magni doesn't drape himself with jewelry, layer on the make-up, have metal protruding from his face nor cover his torso with body art. He is for the music, a trait lacking in many musicians in the industry currently.

He's gained the nickname, the "The Iceman" for obvious reasons, this man's performing style mirrors the country he's from. A country that was formed by volcanic activity yet for much of the time covered with ice, he presents himself, cool, relaxed, yet underneath, fire in his veins. I am astounded and confused why Magni has struggled the past two weeks in amassing sufficient votes to stay out of the bottom three. One reason may lie in the fact that Iceland cannot vote until after 3:00 a.m., an ill-conceived time period.. Fans States side may have thought he wasn't in jeopardy, but will now have to step up the support. Recently reported on Icelandic TV, he was a mere 100 votes short to keep him out of the bottom three. This week he performed Nirvana's "Smells Like Teen Spirit" Tuesday night with passion, zeal, fabulous vocals. Wednesday night's performance should put an end to his bottom three streak. In the elimination round he blazed with "Fire" by Jimi Hendrix. This was the best performance this season in this show. Magni played guitar, interacting with the talented House Band guitarist delivering a stunning performance, drawing attention to the band as a performing unit, not concerned to have all eyes focused on him, elevating the act like a great frontman should! All the while looking like he and that band had played together for years. I can't remember any contestants in either of the two seasons of Rock Star, doing anything even remotely similar.

Witnessed in his performance of "Fire", the essence of the molten power and promise of this man's talent. What will be a test of The Iceman in next week's competition is whether he'll release that fire and provide another flamethrower caliber performance. Magni with his magnificent voice, must magnify his efforts, show the world the fabulous gift he owns. Winning this would allow him to breakthrough the window from local celebrity to international exposure. Whether he wins this or not, the time he has spent on Rock Star can only help him in his career.

I think that this is probably accurate. And well that's awesome cuz Lukas is my favorite and always has been.

I really think it could be possible though considering that during Lukas' first preformance they cut to a clip of the band pouring drinks and toasting him while he's preforming. And then Tommy Lee said "Can you saying f*ucking rockstar!"

And then when he sang Bittersweet Symphony they show the band and Dave pumping they're arms in the air while his singing and Tommy Lee turns and faces the camera with a huge smile on his face. Tommy loves this guy. Dave Navarro says he's one of his faves. Gilby and Jason seem to like him as well even with the little bit of critism they give him. And Brooke loves him as well.

Then during Creep the band was loving it and Jason seemed really impressed. They now have seem more than one side to Lukas' voice which is more than they've seen for some of the rockers.

And well they only offer very little critism to him. Most of it is advice to help him get better, and well you always keep your best player focused right?

Damn there are some funny rumors around regarding the show. First of all, I don't know who Janet Charlton is, but I do know who she isn't. She aint no Perez Hilton, that's for sure. At least with Perez, you get humor and the rumors are at least based in SOME fact. He leaves it up to the reader to do the dance between the two. As for Janet, she just kind of sees what sticks. In fact, if there is one thing I CAN share, it's that Supernova has yet to be on the same page with each other in terms of favorites and they are waiting to see if their ideas line up in the coming weeks based on the remaining performances. Don't forget that no matter what happens, the band can throw out whoever they want for whatever reason they want. They can also save whoever they want. Hell, they don't even need reasons! It is true that the public vote shifts the game in a huge way and that Supernova considers the results every week, but there is no reason for a conspiracy! Lukas SUCKS. He's a poseur. Dilana is THE one. She's the only one who's REAL. She's got more balls than any one of the candidates, including all the men. Tear down a throwaway person (Dilana) and plant a BS story.

Now you have an instant double controversy and hopefully more ratings.

Remember you and your integrity are sacrificed through editing for ratings.

They have been telegraphing Lukas and Dilana from the beginning. So guessing one of them is no big feat.
