Mike Tyson is thrilled because he's getting his own reality show. He has some very important people behind this and they're tweaking concepts to figure out to best one for Mike. They might do a show about finding him a wife or a show about him struggling with sobriety. One thing it WON'T be about is boxing - viewers haven't embraced reality boxing shows. Mike is particularly happy about his new series because he had been hoping to appear on Dancing with the Stars but was turned DOWN because of his prison record.
Looks like Charlie O'Connell is a bachelor again. At least he's acting like one. When Bachelor Charlie selected Texas nurse Sarah Brice on the show last season he told her " "I love everything about you and to me you're perfect. " Right. Sarah moved to LA and they were supposedly living together. They were last seen as a couple in March, walking on Robertson Blvd. Recently he's been seen out and about with his buddies. Thursday night he and his friends made the scene at Bella Cucina on Hollywood Blvd and later at Le Deux. Charlie and a pal table-hopped, flirting and chatting up pretty girls, indicating that to nobody's surprise, The Bachelor is on the prowl again.
Our esteemed colleague Perez Hilton has been gleefully documenting the close personal relationship of 'N Sync bandboy Lance Bass and The Amazing Race's openly gay winner Reichen Lehmkuhl -much to Lance's aggravation. The two dudes go out of their way NOT to be photographed together - especially during their Provincetown vacation. We hear they actually have a good REASON for wanting to keep their male romance under cover - according to an insider, this power couple is shopping around a reality series about their lives - and the big selling point is Lance finally coming out of the closet! So whatever you do, don't spoil the surprise!
Viewers who love the Fox reality show Hell's Kitchen with Gordon Ramsey MIGHT be wondering why they haven't seen hide nor hair of last season's winner Chef Michael. Usually last season's winners pop up somewhere in the current season. Here's what Chef Michael told me: He said that last March Fox called and asked him to help them promote the new season. They wanted him to spend a day entertaining a large group of invited press people. He was to create a menu, and spend a day demonstrating how to prepare it for the reporters. At night Michael was to prepare the same meal for everyone at a banquet. Sounds like fun, but it was a lot of work and Michael asked if he would be compensated. (No figures were ever mentioned.) Fox said "We'll get back to you." Days later they emailed him "We won't need your services." And he wasn't asked to be involved in the new season. Guess they figured he should work FREE - some nerve considering he won Top Chef but never got his own restaurant, as promised.
Kathy Griffin is pulling the wool over our eyes in the nicest possible way. Kathy, a self confessed reality show junkie, introduced some totally UNREAL elements to her show "My Life on the D-List." Last September Kathy filed for divorce from her "soulmate" of over four years Matthew Moline. The divorce was never finalized and Kathy claimed they were working things out. But in actuality, things DIDN'T work out, and Matthew moved into his own place last year. For this season's tapings Matt always arrived early in the morning before the cameras, and PRETENDED to be still living in Kathy's hillside mansion. The marriage is OVER although Kathy and Matt are still good friends. When will she admit her little subterfuge?
It looks like The Barkers are still on the rocks. Rumors have been circulating for weeks that the stars of the MTV reality show Meet the Barkers - Travis Barker and Shanna Moakler - are having a hard time staying married. They haven't been seen together for awhile and Travis was on the town solo Saturday night. He showed up at the after hours club Xenii with a festive group that included Janet Jackson, Jermaine Dupri, and Jamie Foxx. Girls paid the tattooed Blink-182 drummer plenty of attention and he happily chatted them up.Travis told friends he was staying at a hotel, and implied that his wife had "kicked him out." He socialized until 4:30 AM and -significantly- left alone.

The sexy set of Grey's Anatomy has spawned a real life romance. At season's end, the dark and handsome Denny Duquette character played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, died tragically, leaving his beloved Izzy devastated. (Fans were outraged and hounded producers to bring him back to life.) Offscreen the story is much more cheerful - Kate Walsh (Dr Shepherd) and actor Jeffrey hit it off on set, and on Saturday had their "first real date" at Arnie Morton's in Studio City. The restaurant was loaded with Anatomy fans who'd just seen the season finale and were abuzz about the familiar pair- many stopped by their table. One woman seated nearby INSISTED on buying them a bottle of wine, saying "Pick anything you want!" Jeffrey and Kate politely declined, but the woman refused to take no for an answer. A manager had to intervene and ask her to respect their privacy. The outraged woman yelled "How DARE you - I'm as important as they are!" A loud embarrassing scene ended only when the woman stormed out threatening to sue. It was a rather public and chaotic first date, but Jeffrey and Kate survived intact and left arm in arm.

All of a sudden we're not so upset about Chris Daughtry's shocking elimination on American Idol. Success has ALREADY gone to his head! Chris and Bucky Covington were in the rockin' crowd watching Alice in Chains at The Roxy Thursday night. Billy Corgin and Scott Weiland got up and sang with the band and Chris wanted to get onstage and jam but they wouldn't let him. Chris became arrogant and gasped that fatal line "DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM? I almost won on American Idol!"
"Sorry old school rockers only" he was told.
Keep in mind both Bucky and Chris are married. "After the show Chris turned hound dog and flirted with every cute girl in sight". Bucky was polite to all and heard reminding a fan "I'm married, you know." Chris tried to scam free drinks by flattering the female bartenders. When they said no way he pulled the line out again 'DON'T YOU KNOW WHO I AM?" An attractive fan walked up and told Chris "You were robbed!" (referring to his Idol loss) He replied without modesty "Yeah, I was. I knew I was the best out there!" Taken aback, the girl said "You're SO cocky!" Chris shrugged "When you're good, you CAN be cocky!"
Talk about losers with attitude!
We also had a report of Chris butting in on Brandon Davis and Nicky Hilton while they were having lunch at the Polo Lounge. Chris presumptiously took photos of the pair eating and then plopped himself down at their table where he monopolized the conversation. Brandon and Nicky weren't thrilled and they discreetly arranged to have security shoo the Idol wannabe back to his own table.
