Photo Credit: Splash NewsWe're thrilled to see Patrick Swayze hard at work on his new series "The Beast" in Chicago. It looks like they're filming at an El Train station. He's put on twenty pounds in the past weeks, but he's still been able to go out to Chicago cafes and restaurants with his wife Lisa, without being recognized.

It's mind-boggling, but it seems that pancreatic cancer stricken Patrick Swayze is going back to work. Whatever they've been doing at Stanford University Medical Center has been working for Swayze, and he can't wait to get busy. The A&E network was happy with his pilot for "The Beast" in which he plays a rogue FBI agent, and after consideration, they agreed to film 13 episodes this summer in Chicago. We're astonished because insurance for the star of a show is always a huge issue. How did they work THAT out? We're happy for Patrick and hope for the best. Hot and humid Chicago is not a great place to be in the summer.

We can just imagine the hearts breaking everywhere since the news about Patrick Swayze's pancreatic cancer leaked out. It's terribly sad. This actor starred in two of the most romantic movies in Hollywood history- Dirty Dancing and Ghost. According the Enquirer, Patrick, 55, was diagnosed in January and has been treated at the Stanford Cancer Center, but the cancer has spread and they gave him only six weeks to live. Sadly, he had just filmed a pilot for A&E that might have turned into a series for him. Don't doubt this tragic story because the Enquirer had the scoop- they are simply never wrong about medical stories. This is a real tragedy.

Here's a Hollywood face we haven't seen on the club scene in quite awhile: it's Patrick Swayze at Teddy's. Not a great place for someone with a history of alcohol problems, but who are we to judge? Many people claim Patrick has had lots of plastic surgery, but we're not so sure. We think he looks pretty good. Except for those drugstore reading glasses hooked on his t-shirt.
