Adding fuel to the rumor that Nicole Ritchie is expecting twins is the fact that -hello!- her offspring's father is a twin himself! Joel and Benji Madden are identical TWINS and this exponentially increases the probability of Nicole having twins! Hmmm...we might be on to something here.

multiple births skip a generation. The baby they are having...if it is a boy...will have a very high chance of having fraternal twins. That's genetics folks

Twins come down through the moms side. If twins run in Nicoles family there is a chance she could have twins because of that but not because Joel is a twin.

Only fraternal twinning is hereditary. Identical twins are an anomaly - one egg is fertilized and splits after fertilization, instead of two eggs being fertilized. If Nicole has twins it's just a coincidence.

That doesn't even make sense. Him being a twin has no impact on the probability of her carrying twins. Dudes always donate more than one sperm. Women generally donate one egg per cycle. THe likliehood of twins depends on her getting more than one egg out there not him. This is basic sexmatics folks.
