Natalie Portman and her eccentric freak-folk singer beau Devendra Banhart caused a minor stir when they visited the Hollywood farmer's market on Sunday morning. Natalie, clad in "unflattering" print overalls, examined the Blenheim apricots while bearded Devendra waited patiently. He was the target of much interest at Coachella- Nicole Richie, Lindsay Lohan, , and Paris Hilton were all aflutter and eager to see him.

Here's gorgeous Natalie Portman rushing to the premier of her new film "Mr Magorium's Wonder Emporium" in New York. She doesn't have to worry about being embarrassed by THIS movie, which is about a fantastic toy store. In her last effort, Hotel Chevalier, she had nude scenes that she lived to regret after she saw the movie. Although she looked quite fetching unclad, Natalie wishes she had told the director Wes Anderson "No." He must be very persuasive.
There's one incident from the Cinematheque tribute to Julia Roberts that you WON'T see when the show airs on AMC in December. Julia became quite friendly with Natalie Portman when they filmed Closer in 2004 and Natalie was one of the people to pay homage to her. Onstage, Natalie recalled that after their movie wrapped, she sent Julia a necklace that spelled out the word C--T. Only she USED The C Word. (The charity gala audience was thoroughly shocked.) With a chuckle, Natalie went on to say that Julia, in turn, sent HER a necklace that said 'LITTLE C--T." Again the crowd was aghast at the language. Natalie finished up with "By the way, since I'll surely be bleeped - I was referring to an intimate part of the female anatomy." We're guessing Natalie's whole appearance might be edited out. Our question is: Where do these women WEAR these necklaces?
Natalie Portman is one smart cookie when it comes to keeping her love life under wraps. She makes sure that she's seen in public with various guys and protests being photographed with them. Naturally people assume these are romances. Natalie was photographed in New York with Jake Gyllenhaal on what LOOKED like a date, but actually they're just friends. This week she was "reluctantly" photographed in the UK with a British billionaire Nat Rothschild, and the papers there made a big deal out of her "new boyfriend." But she didn't fool us. We know she's still crazy about cute Mexican actor Gael Garcia Bernal, and he's quietly been her REAL and ONLY boyfriend for quite awhile. Gael speaks four languages, so he's quite a good match for the Harvard educated Portman.
