As details of how dramatic Morgan Freeman's car crash are revealed, we can't help but wonder WHERE his wife Myrna is. She was supposedly out of town when the accident happened. Myrna is a busy costume and set designer. So far there's been no mention of her visiting the hospital where Morgan is recovering after surgery on his arm. Not many details have surfaced about Morgan's mystery companion in the car, Demaris Meyer. (pictured) She supposedly works for Fedex but someone suggested she was a chef at Morgan's restaurant. Demaris has already been released from the hospital and she's keeping her mouth shut. Will Morgan have a hard to explaining what he was doing driving her in car at night? He's had plenty of time to get his story straight.
We're grateful that Morgan Freeman wasn't even more seriously injured (broken shoulder arm and ribs so far) in his spectacular car crash, but the BIG question about this accident is, of course, WHO is that women he was with, Demaris Meyer? They were supposedly driving from Memphis, where she works for Fedex, to Morgan's ranch in Charleston and it was 11:30 Sunday NIGHT when the accident happened. Sounds rather cozy, considering Morgan's wife has accused him of cheating with an acquaintance of hers, and consulted a divorce lawyer. Naturally, Hollywood journalists are abuzz with the prospect that this accident might have blown the lid off Morgan's "secret." Or maybe not. We shall see.

His friends find it hard to believe that Oscar winner Morgan Freeman,71, would cheat on his wife, but apparently his wife believes it. According to The National Enquirer, Morgan's wife Myrna, 67, is consulting a divorce attorney because she thinks he cheated with a woman who had been her friend. They've been happily married for 24 years and Morgan is said to be in shock. He's currently appearing on Broadway in "The Country Girl" while Myrna resides at their horse farm in Charleston, Miss. Insiders tell us that Morgan does like to surround himself with women, but he's always a gentleman, so who he could possibly have cheated with remains a mystery. If he's smart he'll run right home with a big box from Tiffany.

Morgan Freeman and Peter Gallagher are costarring in "The Country Girl" on Broadway and they get along great but have very different regard for their fans. A theatergoer who loved the show told us that there are usually a few dozen admirers outside the backstage exit waiting for autographs from the stars. When Morgan exits he has burly guards yelling "No pictures! No autographs!" He exits in his car without even acknowledging the people waiting for him. Peter Gallagher, on the other hand, was described as very friendly, and he made an effort to accommodate everyone. It's too bad Morgan can't seem to appreciate his admirers.

We're don't think that Beverly Todd has gotten enough recognition for her performance in The Bucket List. The naturally pretty actress slid into the role of Morgan Freeman's wife very easily because the pair have worked together a few times before, and HE recommended her for the part. We still recall Beverly's shocking transformation as a crack addicted mother in Crash, and when we saw her in Bucket List we realized that she has an INCREDIBLY expressive face. She almost doesn't need dialog. Take a close look at Beverly when you see this film.
