Note to Melanie Brown: This is what happens when fashion clouds your logical thinking. Teetering platform boots are not recommended apparel for the airport. There's a lot of walking in terminals and keeping your balance with kids can be difficult. Not to mention the fact that legs in those tight Spice Girl boots might swell up on a long flight. Mel B couldn't live up to her dangerous looking leopard footwear and she gave in and opted for a wheelchair. (That's Angel, her daughter with Eddie Murphy, on her lap.)

It was inevitable. While Melanie Brown (Scary Spice) has been off in Europe making lots of money with her Ultimo lingerie line and other projects, her con artist husband Stephen "Belafonte" has been getting restless. Stephen and a buddy were at The Rainbow on Sunset on a recent Saturday. First Stephen asked the bartender if he got a " celebrity discount" because he was married to Mel B, but was turned down, so he had to pay full price for his steak, lobster, appetizers, and wine. Then Stephen turned his attention to the pretty women all around him. He told one "Hey, can I get your number? I'd love to call you and hook up sometime!" One suspicious girl asked "Aren't you married to a Spice Girl?" and he brushed it off with "It's okay!" He invited one busty blonde out for coffee the next day. One after another he punched numbers into his FRIEND'S phone. He laughed "I can't put it in MY phone!" He explained to one girl that his pal would act as a go-between so he could communicate with her. By the time he walked out of the club, the fake Belafonte had five or six numbers clocked into his buddy's phone. In the parking lot he was seen talking to one MORE girl and punching her number into his friend's phone. Keep your eyes open, Mel!
An acquaintance of Eddie Murphy has volunteered some info on WHY Eddie appeared to treat Melanie Brown, the mother of his child Angel, so badly. According to the source, Eddie and Melanie never lived together and in fact, only slept together three times. She assured Eddie that she had a coil implanted for contraception. That's why, when Mel told Eddie she was pregnant, he couldn't believe he was the father. Eddie had already decided that Melanie wasn't up to his standards quality-wise. On one of their first dates she hinted that she'd like to have a three-way. And she was a bit loud and flashy at times. Supposedly, their relationship was already over when Melanie told Eddie she was pregnant. When he reacted badly she offered him a deal: she'd leave him alone if he'd give her nine million dollars, a Malibu house, and living expenses for 18 years. Eddie feels like he was conned and never wants to lay eyes on her again so he won't be visiting their daughter Angel. Eddie figures that when Angel gets older she might try to contact HIM.
We were startled to see this photograph of Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown leaving a rehearsal for Dancing With The Stars because she suddenly looks so SLIM! She's lost all the baby weight and then some. (She gave birth to Eddie Murphy's baby last summer) Her dance partner, the Russian hottie Maksem Chmerkowskiy must be giving her QUITE a workout! Melanie has gushed about how much she enjoys dancing wih him. We can only imagine what her new husband Stephen "Belafonte" is thinking! Stephen seems to be gaining weight while Mel looks better every day.
Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown had all the right moves last night on Dancing with the Stars and she can't say enough good things about her hunky partner Maksem Chmerkowskiy. She likes him a LOT! Her newlywed husband, who calls himself Stephen Belafonte, is annoyed by Mel's daunting rehearsal schedule and has heard ENOUGH about her Russian dance partner. (Maks IS a flirt - he admitted to having a fling with Willa Ford on the 2003 show.) Ironically Stephen has a history of temperamental outbursts and roughing up women, so it will be interesting to see how this triangle develops. For now, Stephen is tagging along to all of Mel's rehearsals to keep an eye on her.

First Mel gave birth to Eddie Murphy's baby - against his will - and on the rebound she married a con man with a fake name and a very shady background. Details about Stephen "Belafonte's" amoral history keep piling up - beating up women, stealing from friends, credit card scams, taking advantage of women, cruelty to animals, arrests for assault, etc. (We finally figured out what she sees in him - an exgirlfriend said he's an amazing lover.) Melanie STILL doesn't know what her real married last name is! According to the UK's Daily Mail, two lesbians have come out of the woodwork and confessed that THEY shared a 3-way bed with Mel in 2005 before she took up with Eddie. Apparently their kids go to the same school and that's how they met. It's Scary Spice's world and we love it!
Obviously, Melanie Brown wants to get AWAY from all those nasty stories surfacing about her newlywed husband Stephen Belafonte AKA Stansbury. (Since he used a fake name on the marriage license - does that mean the union wasn't valid?) She and Stephen were seen at LAX today waiting for a US Airways flight to somewhere. According to a witness she looked pretty in a brown dress, had "loads of luggage," her little girl carried a puppy, and Mel fussed over her baby. A nanny and assistant rounded out the group. Her husband was on the phone ALL the time said the witness and he and Melanie barely spoke to each other. Could she be coming to her senses? We doubt it.
What does Melanie Brown REALLY know about her new husband who calls himself Stephen Belafonte? If, indeed, his real name is Stephen Stansbury, the dirt just keeps piling up. Does she know about his criminal record in New Jersey, San Diego, and LA? In Beverly Hills it was assault with a deadly weapon, in Hollywood it was vandalism and assault on a roommate. Does she know how many EX-WIVES and GIRLFRIENDS have charged him with assault and battery? He's lived in four apartments in LA and the con artist was EVICTED from each one for not paying rent. He was 86'd from Skybar for some sort of credit card "problem." He served time in jail for trying to alter his computer police records. In 1997, he was married for three months until his wife charged him with battery. In the past he has tried to pass himself off as Dionne Warwick's nephew and Harry Belafonte's son. Need we say more?
No WONDER Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown has been avoiding her friends and family lately. She didn't want to listen to them warning her about her suspicious boyfriend - because she was ALREADY MARRIED TO HIM! They were secretly wed June 6 in Las Vegas and she kept it a secret because she knew her friends and family didn't approve. Apparently this Stephen guy has her mesmerized - his real last name seems to be Stansbury, not Belafonte. We've been inundated with info about him. People who claim to have gone to school with him say the high school dropout is a scam artist, an animal killer, a liar and a psycho who makes friends with wealthy people and robs them. There are claims that he has a prison record, outstanding warrants, even a story about him dating and moving in with a wealthy 60 year old Beverly Hills woman and picking up girls in her luxury car and bringing them home at night. Some claim he "services" men to enhance his career. He's even been described as a "white power skinhead." We can safely assume he was NOT popular in high school. We don't know if ANY of these claims are true, but where there's smoke there's usually fire. And Scary Spice is in the middle of it.

Melanie Brown and her puzzling boyfriend who calls himself Stephen Belafonte are frolicking in Miami as if they don't have a care in the world. Meanwhile her friends are worried - since Stephen came along she's not socializing with them any more. And she's not returning calls. Even her mother hasn't heard from her. Is it because Mel's friends are suspicious of her new guy? They're just not buying his stories. Who is he, really? And who's paying for this vacation?

Later, Eddie's baby-mama Mel was photographed deep in conversation with uberlawyer Gloria Allred.
Message: "I'm mad and I'm not gonna take it any more!"
Eddie responded by getting engaged to his girlfriend Tracey Edmonds.
Apparently the engagement didn't set will with Scary Spice so she set up the hottest photo of all. Here she has been photographed with Eddie's exwife Nicole - they had a chatty lunch at The Ivy and introduced their children to each other VERY publicly.
Message: "We had fun talking about you, Eddie!"

Uh oh. Things are NOT looking rosy for Eddie Murphy. Apparently tenacious lawyer Gloria Allred is getting involved in Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown's paternity case against Eddie. Mel's sporting a pushup bra and Gloria is dolled up in a faux Chanel suit. They're leaving Mr Chow with decidedly triumphant looks on their faces and we bet Eddie is going to PAY dearly for not using a condom.
Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown's problems are NOT all over now that Eddie Murphy has turned out to be the father of her child. Her friends are worried about her new relationship with this guy who calls himself Stephen Belafonte. One friend who really cares about Mel confided, "Some of us get the feeling he's a phoney and we don't trust him. We don't even think that's his real last name. If you try to check him out - he has no history before 2004. He used to hang out in clubs and never had any money. We're afraid he's WAY too interested in that Spice money!" Her friends don't want to upset Melanie, but they're keeping an eye on the guy.

Eddie Murphy has been backed into a corner. Melanie Brown got her wish - Eddie went to Beverly Hills this week and left a DNA sample for his paternity test. Mel has always maintained that Eddie is the father of her little girl. Supposedly Mel went to the same lab for her baby's test but the appointments were strategically arranged a day apart. Mel walked out of the medical building yesterday looking euphoric and she took little Angel-Iris Murphy Brown to Mr Chow for a triumphant lunch. Lab results are yet to be announced.
Birthdays after forty are never easy, but Eddie Murphy woke up to a double whammy today. Not only did he turn 46, but he might have become a father again, against his will. Eddie's exgirlfriend Melanie Brown gave birth to a baby girl in Santa Monica just after midnight. She claims Eddie is the father, but Eddie isn't so sure - he wants a DNA test. The baby hasn't been named yet - maybe Mel is waiting to see if Eddie has a change of heart and comes to visit them. We think it's an amazing coincidence that the baby was born on Eddie's birthday. DNA rules.
Eddie Murphy is trying desperately to repair his besmirched image after the fiasco with Melanie "Scary Spice" Brown. He is acutely aware that his reputation has suffered since he dumped his pregnant girlfriend Mel B. and demanded a DNA test for the unborn child. He feels Mel made a fool of him. So he's started dating Tracey Edmonds, and flaunting her at every opportunity because she is an educated and respected power player in Hollywood. Tracey attended Stanford University and she remains CEO of the Edmonds Entertainment Group in spite of her divorce from Babyface. Tracey is beautiful AND smart AND one of the richest black women in Hollywood. She makes him look good, so Eddie is taking her everywhere - even the after hours club Xenii where they openly held hands and cuddled - very out of character for Eddie.
