Mary Kate Olsen seems to be getting celebrity treatment when it comes to the Heath ledger investigation. According to the NY Post, the NYPD talked to everyone connected to Heath's death except her, but the US Drug Enforcement Administration wants her cooperation. They're determined to find out where Heath got his Oxycontin. Prescription bottles for Heath's other drugs were found on the scene, but where he got the fatal Oxycontin remains a mystery. Was it a dealer? If the bottle was removed from the scene, who took it? Mary Kate seems to have answers, but her lawyer says she won't talk without IMMUNITY. Is anybody surprised?

Nice to see Mary-Kate Olsen looking casual and comfortable. That vintage Kenny Rogers T shirt adds a touch of whimsy. The diminutive twin had a liquid lunch of miso soup with girlfriends at Real Food Daily in West Hollywood. She gave her feet a rest by wearing flat sandals, but she didn't give her lungs a rest - she took a smoke break outside.

Last weekend we had our first hands-on experience with Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen's upscale clothing line called "The Row." (It's named after the sartorially famous Savile Rowe in London.) The Olsens are best known for their perky Wal-Mart designs but this collection is obviously a labor of love. It's very expensive and only sold in stores like Barneys New York, Browns in London, and Maxfield. (These are the places the Olsens actually shop at.) Maxfield had their final markdown sale last week and we saw some of the Olsen's lush merchandise, including black leather leggings. We found a pair of unusual long red sleeves reduced to $29 by The Row and we snapped them up.
West Village residents on West 13th Street in New York have been wondering if a presidential candidate moved into the neighborhood. The streets are clogged with black SUVs full of bodyguards around the clock. It turned out it's only Ashley and Mary-Kate Olsen. The twins rented a 10 room apartment with five bedrooms at the modest price (for them) of $12000 a month. One neighbor remarked that the girls "Certainly keep late hours. I was jogging early one morning and they were piling out of their gas guzzlers in their little club outfits."

New York cops are NO Longer planning to question Mary-Kate Olsen about her involvement in the death of Heath Ledger and we think this is why: Mary Kate's gaggle of high priced lawyers started emailing threatening messages to newspapers covering the tragedy shortly after Heath was found dead. Her lawyer threatened that if any reporter were to write anything false or defamatory about Mary-Kate in connection with Heath Ledger's death - that the reporter and the newspaper would be sued. It raises the question, were the police pressured by her legal pit bulls the same way? We may never know what happened in those nine minutes between the unlicensed masseuse's first peculiar call to Mary-Kate and the arrival of paramedics. There must be a lot Mary-Kate doesn't want us to know.
We have some burning questions about the untimely demise of Heath Ledger and the New York police don't seem to be interested in asking them. For example, we now know that Diane the unlicensed masseuse who found Heath's body, called Mary Kate Olsen FOUR times before calling 911. (At first she told police she made TWO calls) But there's no explanation as to HOW Diane happened to be acquainted with Mary-Kate and how did she choose to call HER out of all the people in Heath's phone. What did these three people have in common? Certainly Heath and Mary-Kate might have been more than friends, but where does Diane fit in? We wonder if Mary-Kate instructed Diane to "tidy up" before paramedics arrived. These un-asked questions are driving us crazy.

Here's Mary Kate Olsen leaving a business meeting at her office. Her sister Ashley left at the same time but went her own separate way, as she usually does now. The twins used to be inseparable, but they rarely hang out together any more. Still, Mary-Kate insists "we'll probably always be in business together."
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen are in London to introduce their clothing line at Harvey Nichols. They had a party at a restaurant to celebrate the occasion and GUESS WHO showed up - everybody's favorite Amy Winehouse. Amy is known for NOT attending even important events where she might get an award. But she and husband Blake were happy to get all dressed up to welcome Mary-Kate and Ashley. Do you suppose they talked about fashion? This picture makes us wonder what they were all thinking at that moment.

Mary-Kate Olsen may have fallen down on her way INTO Les Deux this weekend but by the time she left, she appeared perfectly recovered. And we love her rockstar get-up. She does, however, seem to be about to lose the contents of what looks like a Whiting & Davis mesh handbag. Why is that guy helping her out wearing black leather gloves?

Mary-Kate Olsen turned up at the Weeds premier party looking strangely unlike her usual self - then we realized she's still in character after a day of shooting. Mary-Kate is appearing (without her sister for maybe the first time) on ten episodes this season as a Christian girl-next-door who sees nothing wrong with some recreational weed now and then. Her character always wears a cross and her modest hairdo adds an innocent touch.
Don't underestimate the smarts of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Last week they turned 21 and had their private birthday dinner with around twenty-five of their nearest and dearest at Chateau Marmont. On Friday they had a BIG fancy party for 200 at their house and not only didn't have to pay for it, but they earned money from it. But it wasn't as much as they had hoped. They offered exclusive rights to the party and photos to magazines - hoping it would fetch a million dollars. The highest bidder paid $250,000 for the party exclusive AND paid for the entire event - another $200,000 at least. It's a nice birthday present.
Introducing the new Bond Girls: Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen! One of the producers (who happens to be a female) of Daniel Craig's next James Bond movie is very impressed with Ashley and Mary-Kate and really wants them in the 22nd 007 movie scheduled to start filming in 2008. The Olsens would be the first set of Bond twins. The producer is making the offer as appealing to the girls as possible - there will be no nudity or sex scenes. And the twins will play good girls - not villains. (ER's Goran Visnjic is set to play a villain) The Olsens are seriously considering the offer. In the photo above, we've taken the liberty of morphing the twins photos with Bond girl Ursula Andress to give you a preview of what's to come.
Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen had dinner with two girlfriends at Nobu two weeks ago and a nearby diner noted some of their idiosyncrasies. The four girls shared several dishes and finished with dessert and coffee. Our spy was still eating and suddenly blurted "Oh, I smell smoke. " He turned and saw the twins both puffing on cigarettes IN the restaurant. Mary Kate and Ashley gave him a snarky look and the host came over and told them "Ladies this is not acceptable." They meekly snubbed out the cigs muttering "Oh, we didn't know!" When the four checks came each girl paid separately - the Olsens with black AX cards. Mary-Kate stood up and went to the bathroom and Ashley watched her and turned to the other girls with a wink and said very sarcastically "LIKE CLOCKWORK!" Makes you wonder what she meant, doesn't it?

We can't pass up another opportunity to gossip about Mary Kate and Ashley's original fashion sense. We LOVE it! And we're proud of Mary-Kate for carrying the same vintage style beaded bag (A nice change from overpriced and obvious "look how rich I am" designer bags) and she uses it appropriately for day and night! An look at those cute shoes with her plaid wrap dress! We don't care what anyone says, girls, you ROCK!

Did we catch Mary-Kate Olsen slipping into the museum? Her surroundings DO look somewhat museum-like. Lots of cement and sculptures. Actually she's walking into the exclusive shop Maxfield in this picture. We think Mary-Kate was inspired by one part Helmut Newton and one part punk when she put on this outfit. (Which is not a bad thing.) The extreme shoes remind one of Newton and the big fat run in her tights is punk. And there's that handbag we love!
