Kimora Lee Simmons and Djimon Hounsou aways struck us as a rather puzzling couple - he appears to be a serious and dedicated actor and she seems rather - well - frivolous. Our friend Nelson Aspen was working out at a posh Century City gym when the aforementioned couple walked in. Djimon wore a simple black workout jacket and baggy pants and Kimora was uncharacteristically low key - also in black with a ponytail and no makeup. Our witness said that they were very comfortable together - smiling and joking. They both did cardio and weights with great vigor - sometimes separately, sometimes together. "They were playful and sweet to each other." Kimora is motivated to work out because she was accused of being pregnant recently - and she isn't.
Kimora Lee Simmons keeps insisting that she is NOT pregnant with her boyfriend Djimon Hounsou's baby. "Lies, lies, lies!" She told NY writer Simon Doonan "I am NOT expecting a child. One day I may be and it will be fabulous!" (We recall a reporter asking what Kimora wanted for Christmas this past year and she answered "A baby.") Anyway, if she's NOT expecting, how does Kimora explain the fact that she's looking "hefty" - to put it politely. Former models - especially '"fabulous" ones- rarely leave the house looking bloated. There's more to this story than meets the eye.

They just had lunch in Beverly Hills, and Kimora Lee Simmons and her boyfriend Djimon Hounsou already look like an old married couple. Very relaxed and comfortable. But would he ever be able to support her in the style she's become accustomed to? Or would she be supporting him?
Life hasn't been so fab for Kimora Lee Simmons this week. First the reality diva was stripped of her illegally obtained "official city business" parking placard that allowed her to park anywhere in Manhattan without a care in the world. THAT was painful enough, but now she's been accused of shilling for Scientology. Sources say that the hip hop fashion designer distributes Scientology pamphlets to the 12 to 18 year old inner city girls who buy her clothing line. Apparently she designed her own colorful cover for the standard Scientology "Way to Happiness" booklets. Kimora, say it isn't so!

Djimon Hounsou THOUGHT he was doing his girlfriend Kimora Lee Simmons a favor when he tried to hustle her past the paparazzi on a recent night out. QUITE the opposite! She dug in her heels and insisted on taking her sweet time so her picture could be taken from all angles. Doesn't Djimon realize that since her reality series "Life in the Fab Lane" is on the air, Kimora wants all the press she can get? He looks a bit perplexed.

Look who we spotted giving Kimora Lee Simmons a standing ovation at the fashion show for her Baby Phat clothing line in New York. It's Kimora's estranged husband Russell Simmons AND her current boyfriend, actor Djimon Hounsou. No wonder Russell is so successful - he's smart enough to befriend any guy who might be capable of taking his high maintenance wife off his hands. We know she's high maintenance because we saw "Kimora: Life in the Fab Lane."
