It's a rare sight. We love to catch a celebrity loading up on -not designer clothes- but BOOKS! And paying full price! Kate Beckinsale's stock just went up more than a few points in our opinion, because she's patronizing Book Soup on Sunset- one of the few and greatest independent bookstores still in existence.

VICTORIA BECKHAM AND KATE BECKINSALE: BIRDS OF A FEATHER

Victoria Beckham is a big personality and a powerful influence on her friends. She and Kate Beckinsale have gotten very chummy, and Kate 's other friends are worried that Posh might be a bad influence. They say "Kate is getting so skinny that her clothes are falling off of her." Posh's minimal eating habits might be rubbiing off on Kate, who is already thin, and once had a problem with anorexia. Victoria gave Kate some of her dVb jeans and is also urging Kate to bob her long hair and she's considering the idea. (Didn't Katie Holmes just go through all this?) Apparently, Victoria just can't resist making over her friends.

KATE BECKINSALE'S HUSBAND LEN WISEMAN IS HOTTER THAN WE REALIZED

Kate Beckinsale's husband Len Wiseman doesn't seem to mind shopping with her. And we never noticed how good looking he is- he finally took off that baseball cap. Did you know that back in 2002 Kate and her then boyfriend Michael Sheen (he's the father of her child) were costarring in "Underworld" which was being directed by Len? In the middle of filming she left her boyfriend for Len and they all had to continue working together. She meant business - Kate married Len in 2004.

If this is what Kate Beckinsale looked like walking OUT of Le Beach Club tanning salon in Brentwood, what on earth did she look like when she walked IN? She still looks pale as a ghost. At least she didn't overdo it- she's noted for her porcelain complexion.

Just because Christmas is over, doesn't mean the shopping stops. Kate Beckinsale treated her her lookalike daughter Lily to a visit to Kitson Kids on Robertson. How cute is little Lily! When they had their fill of kid stuff, they hopped into the back set of a carful of friends and it looks like they forgot to buckle up...

Janet Charlton's Hollywood Whodunit

This celebrity made quite an impact on Celebrity Rehab. He was a real challenge for Dr Drew. He and his girlfriend were at a celebrity event when they happened to meet a man and his wife who were huge fans of the rehabbed performer. The couples started chatting and our rehab guy was so flattered that he invited the pair over for dinner. When the admiring couple arrived at the celebrity's house they were startled to see large nude photos of the girlfriend hanging on the walls. The "rehabber" offered the visitors wine and an array of pills! The guests were horrified but before they could leave the celebrity invited them to strip down for a "sexy swing session." The frightened pair ran off without getting a chance to tell the celebrity that the woman was an ordained minister!

2001: Justin Timberlake must have been the happiest kid in town on Christmas morning. His girlfriend Britney Spears spent $100,000 on a frantic hour long shopping spree in Beverly Hills just for him. She dropped $15000 at Prada on a leather coat, luggage, and $500 combat boots. Her $50,000 purchases at Gucci included an $8000 leather jacket, a $4000 suit and a thousand dollar sterling beltbuckle. At Armani she loaded up on cashmere sweaters in every color and she ended up at Barneys gathering up a cashmere blanket, an organizer, binoculars and more clothes. Some guys have all the luck.
