Ryan Seacrest (shown above with his girlfriend Sophie Monk, leaving Ago) is making more money than EVER, but he's looking to buy a SMALLER house! He paid 16 million for Kevin Costner's over 10,000 sq ft house in Nichols Canyon, but after living there awhile, Ryan decided it's just too HUGE! He says he's overwhelmed by the size of the place and the complex security system. Right now he's looking in Beverly Hills for a nice place around half the size.

We love this photo of Tom Cruise's sprawling estate - party preparations are underway right now and the place is loaded with catering staffers and security guards scurrying about. Whether the party is for a particular occasion is still unknown. A Scientology event, perhaps?

It took almost a year, but Christina Aguilera has finally erased every trace of the Osbournes that was lurking in the house she bought from them. Christina purchased the Osbourne's Beverly Hills house last summer for 11.5 million but hasn't moved in yet. She wanted to remove every gothic trace, every gargoyle, and all the decor that she considered tasteless. The Osbournes were miffed when Christina declined to buy any of their furniture, (they ended up auctioning it off) but she completely redid the place from top to bottom - and child proofed it at the same time. Now that she and her husband Jordan Bratman and their baby are ready to move in, she put her old house on the market.

Back in the early 90's, When Barbra Streisand couldn't sell her compound in Malibu after five years of trying, she donated the 12 million dollar Ramirez Canyon property to the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy. Barbra purchased the original house and land in 1974 - through the years she added more land until there was a total of four houses and over 22 acres. When she gave it to the city she got a massive tax write-off and never looked back. The Conservancy was grateful, but needed a LOT of money to maintain the houses and lush grounds that include a stream and several bridges. At first the Conservancy rented out the place for weddings and conducted private tours to pay the upkeep. But neighbors (Britney Spears is two houses away) got riled up and banned tours or wedding parties on their private gated street. Now the four once exquisite houses are falling into ruin - rats, water damage, and neglect. Barbra's pricey leather outdoor furniture is in tatters. The hand carved wood is warping. The grand piano that Paul Simon gave her is out of tune. Without revenue, the conservancy is just letting the houses fall apart and they don't know WHAT will be done with the property. It's a sad, wasteful story.
Marilyn Manson might be shopping in a supermarket near YOU! He just leased a house in the Hollywood Hills east so he could easily turn up in the Mayfair Market on Franklin. He has moved all his Nazi memorabilia and human skeletons into the house, which has been described by a neighbor as "not at all gothic - actually a cheerful, sunny Mediterranean." Presumably his girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood will join him there when she finishes the movie she's making in New York with Woody Allen.

It's a wonderful life if you're Brad and Angelina. Above is a photo of the luxurious house they're leasing for the summer in the South of France. It has amazing views of the water from almost every window and flowers blooming all around. On one balmy day Brad and Angelina left the other kids home with the nannies and took Zahara for a helicopter ride so they could look at some properties for sale in Monaco.
24 Hour Fitness, located in West Hollywood, is not a fancy gym. In fact it's one of the least expensive gyms available and it adheres to a no frills policy. If the showers are hot, it's a good day. Hand dryers have replaced paper towels and the Jacuzzis are packed with heavy-set elderly people. Still, it's located in the heart of the gay mecca, Boy's Town, so it's a gayish crowd. (" Sex police" patrol the men's locker room.) So it WAS a surprise to see a successful multiple Emmy winning actor nonchalantly working out on the weight machines. "House" doc Hugh Laurie has been voted one of the sexiest guys on TV, so he's obliged to KEEP that trim build, although he's not spending a lot of money to do so. He did his workout alone and left without causing a stir.
