We were amused by this photo of Keith Urban making small talk with Lauren Bacall at the premier of his wife Nicole Kidman's movie Australia - you never know who you're going to run into at a premier. (Lauren played Nicole's mother in the movie "Birth" ) Keith is looking especially good - perhaps because he's taller than usual. Take a look at those high heels on HIM, not her.

You've got to give Victoria Beckham credit - she can navigate a mall with three active children in six inch stiletto heels. It's not often you see a woman dressed like this in the modest Westside Pavilion shopping center. Her outfit is cocktail party cute but it is an attention getter. Victoria once claimed she "couldn't concentrate in flat shoes" and it looks like she meant it.
Those actresses you see teetering on killer heels can't WAIT to shuck them off between takes. Even when they only have a five minute break, the Crocs come out. Kate Walsh was filming a scene for "Private Practice" downtown in LA and she wore her Crocs until the last second. Say what you will about the homely plastic shoes, Crocs have pretty much replaced flip-flops and even Uggs as the choice of footwear on Hollywood sets between shots - for women AND men.
We've always been fascinated by men wearing elevator shoes so we were delighted to see this photo of Jonathan Rhys Meyers and his intricately built up boots. He's currently filming The Tudors at a castle in Dublin. Jonathan plays the notorious Henry VIII and at 5'9" he just isn't imposing enough. These leather boots were constructed with lifts outside and inside. It looks like they add around four inches to Jonathan's height. He's accustomed to wearing heels - remember, Jonathan plays basketball in cowboy boots.

Does ANYBODY believe those fabulous photos of boxer Oscar de la Hoya in fishnets, high heels, make up and wigs, were NOT real? The beautiful "dancer" Milana Dravnel who sold the photos (and is featured in many of them) just withdrew her lawsuit against Oscar. She filed suit against him for calling her a liar and saying the photos were fakes. Naturally he didn't want these photos bouncing around a courtroom and getting MORE newspaper coverage. Hence, it was announced that Marina DROPPED her suit after "experts" declared the photos faked. We're betting that Oscar gave Marina PLENTY of money to make it all go away and save face. Check out X17 online and see all the pictures. They're incredible.

Prince debuted some new footwear during his performance at Coachella. Usually he wears pointy high heel boots that he has custom made in a color to match every outfit. His new look is a more comfortable round toe platform boot with what appears to be a high lucite wedge. It still gives him that much needed extra four or five inches of height.

Men may drive fast cars but it's the women who take all the chances in the world of celebrities these days. Gwyneth Paltrow was photographed in Paris wearing these extraordinary shoes. They're deliciously stylish and maybe eight inches tall. Gwyneth is no fool - note that like Mariah Carey, she has a minder holding her up and helping her keep her balance at all times. A mother of two should NOT fall in her absurdly high shoes and break a leg.

Here's Paula Abdul looking chipper at LAX. We amazed at how dressed up she is to fly. Definitely not comfortable Skin tight jeans and those super high satin heels! Of course, she DOES have an image to live up to!

Regarding his necessary hip replacement, Prince been needing the surgery for several years and he's been living with the pain as long as he can. The only reason he's getting the surgery is so he can wear high heels comfortably without limping. Since he started performing, the 49 year old singer has been having high heel boots and shoes custom made to match every pair of pants or suit. As you can see by this fashion show photo, he's sporting the highest heels in the front row. Also, one of his exgirlfriends told us he even has high heel custom BEDROOM SLIPPERS and wears them to bed! Still, the five foot three inch (so he SAYS) singer insists he doesn't wear the high heels to be taller - he says he wears them because the girls LOVE them!
