Photo Credit: Wire ImageKaty Perry had a slammin' birthday party at Siren studios in Hollywood last night and she dressed up as her idol (and ours) Freddie Mercury, the lead singer of Queen. Apparently she went for Freddie's early glam-rock spandex look. Later on, Freddie acquired that West Hollywood leather man look and super short hair was his thing. At least that's how we remember him. Katy's invitation featured her head on a platter and invited guests to dress up as a "dead celebrity" or a "celebrity whose career is dead."
Photo Credit: Splash NewsGwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale are pictured here leaving a Halloween costume party - Gwen is clearly dressed as a fried egg, and Gavin was in a bacon costume. Gavin apparently had had enough of dressing up - he started taking off his bacon suit before he got out the door.
Photo Credit: Splash NewsMatilda Ledger can't wait for Halloween- she's already in her princess costume and doesn't want to take it off. Her mom Michelle Williams spent the day with her little princess - the evening before she was with her current boyfriend Spike Jonze at a party for her movie "Synecdoche, New York."
Who knew Elle Macpherson was such a big fan of Halloween? She never gets tired of dressing up. Elle just had a lavish "pre-Halloween" bash in New York that cost her around $100,000. Guests were encouraged to talk about the costumes they plan to wear to her "real" Halloween party next month. THAT one is expected to cost around $250,000. And she's not cheap with the waiters - they get paid around $60 an hour and last year she tipped each one $100.

Halloween wouldn't be complete without a memorable photo of Ice-T and his fabulous wife Coco. They added considerable excitement to designer Roberto Cavalli's costume party in New York. Their costumes - he appears to be a pornographer and she's definitely a French maid - seem to be from the Frederick's of Hollywood collection. Not that THEY are the arbiters of good taste, but what MUST the Italians think of us Americans?

Teri Hatcher didn't do herself a favor when she put on this Queen of Hearts costume to go along with her little girl Emerson dressed as Alice in Wonderland. Is it the makeup that's so scary? Whatever - the outfit doesn't do a thing for Teri. She and Emerson seemed to have a good time at the AIDS charity Halloween party together, however.

If this picture doesn't get you in the mood for Halloween, nothing will. Heidi Klum and Seal get in the mood by visiting LA's pumpkin patch several times with their kids.
We find this hard to believe but our source SWEARS it's true. Last December Ashlee Simpson bought a 4.7 million dollar house in Beverly Hills. And the first thing she did when she was handed the keys was arrange for an exorcism or "spiritual cleansing." She wanted any wandering spirits driven from the house before she occupied it. Apparently Ashlee was convinced her house in Studio City was haunted by a little girl who sometimes bounced a ball. She even wrote a song about this child ghost called Eyes Wide Open. Hopefully all negative spirits have been flushed out and Ashlee can get on with her life.

Britney Spears has managed to make her husband Kevin Federline's dreams come true. She turned an out-of-work dancer into a model, an actor, and a singer, while also getting him red carpet treatment at the hottest clubs. He's been checking out locations for his record release party on Halloween night and it looks like he's pretty much settled on Xenii. This will be Britney's first big night out since their second baby was born. Kevin seems to like the after hours club Xenii - he was there until 5 AM Sunday morning. Those brave enough to pre-order K-Fed's CD "Playing With Fire" from his online store automatically are entered into a contest to win a trip to LA to attend the party. Second prize - no kidding - are the sneakers Kevin wore when he performed at the Teen Choice Awards.
