She's looks like she's wearing her heavy stage makeup and that red string to repel bad reviews. Guy looks cute, but rather nervous. He must be mighty pleased with himself for signing Robert Downey Jr to star in his upcoming Sherlock Holmes movie. Downey can do no wrong these days and has never been more popular.

And they said it wouldn't last. Madonna celebrated her 50th birthday in London at the swanky Volstead Club with her husband Guy Ritchie by her side. Most of the press declared her marriage was OVER last month. Guess who has the last laugh? Madonna sexed up her look with big eyelashes, a sheer chiffon dress, and high boots.
Can't BELIEVE it's been 10 years since Guy Ritchie did "Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" and we fell in love with British gangsters. (We were also mad about "The Krays") Here's a trailer for Guy's new gangster epic "RocknRolla" and we hope there are no hidden Kabbalah messages. Actually it looks like fun, even if Vinnie Jones isn't in it. Check out the trailer.

The Ritchies showed family unity (minus David) this weekend by walking from their building to a nearby movie theater together. Lourdes brought along a lookalike friend and Madonna seemed to have more clothes on than anyone else on this warm day. Also we notice that in all her recent photos, Madonna's hair looks like she just hopped out of the shower. What movie do you suppose they saw?

Bits and pieces of Christoper Ciccone's book "Life with My Sister Madonna " are leaking out, and it's not as shocking as we hoped. Christopher admits that when her husband Guy Ritchie came into Madonna's life, it was the death knell for Chris's relationship with his sister. He describes Guy as a "man's man" who isn't bothered by homophobic humor. In other words he laughs at gay jokes. Not a good thing, but so far that's the worst thing he's said about Guy. He also thinks they won't divorce because they are committed to staying married. Let's hope the book is juicier than the leaks.

The plot thickens. This weekend Guy Ritchie arrived in New York to see Madonna and the kids and he refused to comment on divorce rumors, just as she does. His mother, of course, DID deny there were marriage problems, but she might be the last to know. Now we hear that Guy is planning a big 50th birthday party for Madonna - 200 people at their country home in August. Guy is also planning to watch the kids while Madonna tours in the US. We aren't convinced that divorce is imminent, and still have a hard time believing that their marriage is over. (Interesting how Madonna was all decked out in Ed Hardy to visit the Kabbalah temple. Is that Guy Oseary behind her?)

At last! Guy Ritchie has FINALLY asserted himself with his domineering wife Madonna. Reports in England say he is FINISHED with Kabbalah. Madonna has pretty much shoved the cult down his throat and many of her friends. At first Guy tried to get into it to keep Madonna happy. But he's become increasingly doubtful of the organization and it's motivations. He didn't like being publicized as a member and was suspicious of their finances. We're THRILLED that Guy has come to his senses. We hope it doesn't break up their marriage - will Madonna feel compelled to choose between her "religion" and her husband?
Newsflash! We've got an update on the Madonna book written by her brother Christopher. We're hearing that the book doesn't really say awful things about Madonna - we already KNOW most of the awful things about her. But Christopher DOES have some startling revelations about Madonna's husband Guy Ritchie! Christopher and his brother-in-law Guy never got along, and Chris will tell us WHY. Needless to say, Madonna doesn't want her husband's rep - what's left of it- further diminished.
The good news is that Nike offered Guy Ritchie a job directing a series of short movies starring their wide variety of workout gear. It's a great opportunity to show off his creativity and they're paying him a whole lot of money. Everything was fine until the Nike people started dropping hints that they'd love to have his workout fanatic wife Madonna involved in the project. Somewhat embarrassing for the accomplished director, but Guy's giving it a try and it will be interesting to see if Madonna cooperates.
Madonna may find it flattering after all these years, but her husband Guy Ritchie is still jealous of her ex boyfriend Carlos Leon! Carlos, of course is the father of Madonna's daughter Lourdes, so he is always in her life. Madonna encourages Carlos to spend time with Lourdes and she lets him stay at her Beverly Hills house when she and Lourdes are in LA. Sometimes Guy is not there and sometimes he is, but either way it makes him REALLY uncomfortable. (Keep in mind Carlos is still training and in great physical shape.) Whether Guy can convince Madonna that three's a crowd remains to be seen.
Looks like the people who run Kabbalah are out to prove that THEIR group is WAY more fun that the Scientologists. Madonna and Guy Ritchie were among the top level Kabbalists who attended a religious costume party at the Kabbalah center in Los Angeles. Madonna dressed up as a 1920's "It" girl and Guy disguised himself as a 1970's cop with mirror sunglasses and a mustache. Guy was a good sport although it's rumored that he is not as enamored of Kabbalah as his wife is. And probably not thrilled that she hands over millions of dollars to them. Still, you don't see Tom Cruise and Katie having the fun the Ritchies have.
