We happen to love the comments Anderson Cooper made about the "Living Lohan" reality show, calling it a train wreck featuring horrific people. Publicity loving Dina Lohan was incensed enough to gripe to OK magazine that Anderson was attracting "bad karma." His CNN cohost Erica Hill is very supportive, but Anderson is sorry he ever got involved in the feud with Dina. Someone at CNN leaked Anderson's cell phone number to Dina and he quickly had his number changed. Wouldn't YOU?
We LOVE Taryn Manning's outspoken comments about working on the movie Hustle & Flow. (If you missed it - Taryn was AMAZING in this movie. ) She revealed to Stuff magazine that producer John Singleton was a cheapskate. He hired actors willing to work for scale and when the movie sold at Sundance for a ton of money, the actors got NOTHING. She went on to criticize Singleton's bragging about the Hustle actors: He said "They all have careers because of me." Taryn snorts "Yeah , Terrence Howard has an incredible career, but the rest of us were looking forward to that paycheck!" We admire a girl who speaks her mind.
We don't know if Rosie O'Donnell's feud with Donald Trump is a publicity stunt, but we love it.
The Hollywood Girl Feuds are still flourishing. At the Chateau Marmont party hosted by Penelope Cruz, Mischa Barton and Rachel Zoe were having a good time - but with one eye on the door. They did NOT want to run into Nicole Richie so they had planned to make a quick escape if when and if she arrived. They also hoped to avoid Paris Hilton so they asked people to notify them if either turned up. They had their escape route carefully planned so they could leave quickly without any fuss. (The Olsen twins weren't about to let their dislike of Paris Hilton ruin THEIR good time - they just pretend she doesn't exist.) Rachel and Mischa wasted their energy - their arch enemies didn't turn up.
According to a coworker on the Brothers & Sisters set, the feud between Calista Flockhart and Rachel Griffiths is still simmering. Ally McBeal star Calista considers herself to be the star of the show. Rachel figures since she's also a movie star, she is top dog. "Calista thinks nothing of demanding that a scene full of people be reshot to feature her GOOD side instead of her bad side. And Calista is ALWAYS yakking on her cell phone- that's frowned upon on he set." It's one-upmanship. To get even, "Rachel is a pain in the ass because she's always the LAST one on the set when the director is ready to start a scene (the biggest star is traditionally last to be called) and she keeps EVERYONE waiting." Rachel might also be a bit peeved because she's six years YOUNGER than Calista and plays her OLDER sister.
Neighbors are astounded by the fact that Kanye West has 24 hour around-the-clock bodyguards watching his house in the Hollywood Hills. He's not exactly the gangsta type that needs protection. "It must cost a fortune - what's he afraid of?" said a curious neighbor. That got us wondering if his feud with 50 Cent has escalated. Hardcore 50 Cent has barely concealed his contempt for Kanye's "softer" music. He dissed Kanye when he said "I think middle America would rather have their kids be GAY than have them be aggressive." (Did he say that because Kanye shops at Barneys?) Despite the big bucks he spends on security, Kanye still eats at economical Baja Fresh on Sunset nearly every day!
We think we know what provoked Shanna Moakler to punch Paris Hilton in the face at Hyde last night. It's common knowledge that Paris and Travis were caught smooching In New York - Paris seems to delight in tormenting other women by luring their men. But this was more than a one night stand. Earlier last night Travis took Paris out on a DATE to Matsuhisa for dinner. Just the two of them - very private. It was a real date because he drove her in his Escalade. How Paris ended up at Hyde later we don't know, but apparently Shanna found out about the DATE and that's what set her off.
If we have to hear one more word about Paris and Nicole's mysterious "feud" we're going to slit our wrists. Let's clear up the "mystery" once and for all. For those who don't already know, what happened was, Paris invited her best friend Nicole to costar on HER new reality show The Simple Life a few years ago.The first season of the show was a hit and soon Nicole decided she wanted a raise. Instead of consulting Paris , she went straight to producers and asked for more money. Paris was OUTRAGED that her friend "went behind her back" and asked for the same salary as hers. After all it WAS Paris's show! She considered Nicole a traitor and tried to get her kicked off the show and replaced by her new best friend Kimberly Stewart. But producers felt Nicole was the funny one and she was essential to the show's success. That REALLY infuriated Paris. Their feud only made the show MORE popular. Interestingly enough, not long ago, Paris was seen walking out of Nicole's W est Hollywood condo. A secret meeting?
