Courtney Love was happy and chatty at Madison on Robertson Blvd Saturday - when I ran into her she was trying on some peep toe pumps. "You like these?" She told me she's been sober a year and is in talks with producers for an upcoming movie. Best of all, she's seeing her ex, Edward Norton, again. (Remember they costarred in "The People vs. Larry Flynt " and dated for a few tumultuous years in the mid 90's.) She told me that Ed has a pilot's license now and he's flying her to Catalina next week. She noted my excitement and clarified "We're really just friends now but I'm totally happy about that." I know she's always had a weakness for Edward and It's cool that he's being a real friend when she can use one.

She has NOT been sober a year--she always says that. She just got out of rehab AGAIN recently, and she wasn't there for a year. AT the time of the Pam Anderson roast (where she was the stonedest I've ever seen a living human) she also claimed to be sober for a year. I can't help but wish her well, but all that sobriety stuff is wishful thinking--like Billy Corgan living with her now, and the "classic" stage play she is going to do in London. OY! She's talented and I like her, but she is a fruit-salad head!

I knew a girl in college who was kindof creepy to guys, but she always got everyone she wanted just by pushiness. Maybe it's like that with Courtney Love?
Also, in my experience, a lot of the most creative guys I know like little quiet yes-girls who have no personaltiy and who never have opinions (guess we can't accuse Ms. Love of that;-)
