Just to set the record straight: There have been many hastily written reports that Christian Brando died from AIDS related pneumonia, and that is NOT the case. He died from ARDS- Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome. Maybe that one letter of difference caused the error. Christian's father Marlon Brando died from a similar respiratory disorder. Unfortunately, the battle over Christian's estate continues...

Last we heard there was a storm brewing at Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital where Christian Brando died. Christian's mother Anna Kashfi surprised everyone by showing up and let it be known that she expects to be put in charge of the estate. A number of Christian's cousins were also there as well as Christian's girlfriend Donna, and Marlon Brando's lawyer. Apparently Christian was getting his inheritance in increments of several hundred thousand dollars at a time. Everyone wants to be in charge of whatever money there is, so it's not going to be pretty.

Sad to report that Christian Brando,49, died at Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital last night. He was hospitalized with double pneumonia and doctors gave him little chance of recovery. Marlon's son had a tumultuous, often unhappy life but when he died he had a devoted young girlfriend named Donna who was at his side in the hospital every day, often weeping. So he didn't die alone.

We're hearing that Christian Brando is NOT getting better at Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital. Marlon Brando's 49 year old son has double pneumonia and he's in very serous condition on a breathing machine. Christian has been living on his inheritance from his late father but it couldn't be huge because he resides in a modest apartment building in Hollywood. Christian divorced his wife Deborah in 2005 and now he has a pretty blonde girlfriend who stays at the hospital with him every day, sometimes in tears. Christian is a chain smoker and doctors say he might not recover.
