Last weekend Salma Hayek invited family members together for an unusually serious lunch. Now we know why. She obviously announced to them that her engagement to the father of her child, billionaire Francois Henri-Pinault, had been called off. No wedding. Not all that surprising considering their abrupt relationship. Still, if you're going to have a baby without marriage it's nice to give your child a wealthy father. After the lunch, Salma cheered herself up with some shoe shopping with little Valentina.

Megan Fox did some shopping at Fred Segal and she is still not wearing her engagement ring from Brian Austin Green. So the romance MUST be over. Looks like all our predictions are coming true. Megan stocked up on "single girl" sexy clothes and we're betting the first person to see them will be the man of her dreams Shia LaBeouf.

We were surprised when Angie Everhart,38, and Joe Pesci, 65, called it quits- they were golf buddies for years and engaged for nine months. But Angie has bounced back in a big way. Last week she was seen in London taking a ride with Prince Andrew,48, in his Aston Martin convertible. Angie and the Duke of York dated a few years ago and have resumed their friendship.

At last! Guy Ritchie has FINALLY asserted himself with his domineering wife Madonna. Reports in England say he is FINISHED with Kabbalah. Madonna has pretty much shoved the cult down his throat and many of her friends. At first Guy tried to get into it to keep Madonna happy. But he's become increasingly doubtful of the organization and it's motivations. He didn't like being publicized as a member and was suspicious of their finances. We're THRILLED that Guy has come to his senses. We hope it doesn't break up their marriage - will Madonna feel compelled to choose between her "religion" and her husband?

You read it HERE first! Looks like Megan Fox is taking the passive aggressive road to letting her boyfriend Brian Austin Green down sloooowly. She wants to break off their engagement but doesn't want to break his heart, so she might try being so annoying that HE wants to call it off. She started the ball rolling by wearing her engagement ring only intermittently. Rumors are already surfacing that the romance is shaky. If Brian eventually gets fed up with her behavior and takes a walk, she wouldn't have to feel so guilty about having that crush on her Transformers costar Shia La Beouf.

If this is what Steve Wozniak did to Kathy Griffin, we're glad the billionaire is no longer her boyfriend. We are, of course referring to Kathy's Washington DC hostess hairdo. It's way too conservative, considering her personality. Now that they've split up and Kathy says he has another girlfriend, we wonder if Steve was using Kathy to make himself more attractive to other women. Dating Kathy made him more desirable, right? It WAS a fun romance, but we prefer Kathy's single world on "My Life on the D-List."

We were happy at last to see that Jennifer Aniston's close friend Sheryl Crowe has verified everything we always insisted was true about the mythical bustup of Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston. We have always insisted that Jennifer BROKE UP with Brad - not the other way around. And it happened BEFORE Brad hooked up with Angelina Jolie. During the last year of Friends, Jen became disillusioned with her marriage and realized Brad wasn't right for her. She STOPPED trying to get pregnant. She and Brad were talking in a very civilized way about ending their relationship. When Brad started filming Mr and Mrs Smith, Angelina Jolie immediately set her sights on him, despite the fact that he was still married. She was documented flirting outrageously with Brad, who was flattered, but did not cheat on Jen. After Jen and Brad announced their amicable split, it was easy for Angelina to pounce on lonely Brad. Jen had hoped to remain close friends with Brad and her feelings were hurt when he drifted into another relationship so quickly. Brad has always been accused of cheating with Angelina and destroying his marriage but that is not how it happened. Thanks, Sheryl, for backing us up!

Our friend Nelson Aspen observed some peculiar celebrity behavior at El Coyote on Saturday night. Lost star Dominic Monaghan was seated on the outside patio with an attractive long haired brunette who was NOT Evangeline Lilly. The pair chainsmoked and sipped margaritas but never ate a bite, not even the chips on their table. Their conversation was intense and very intimate. Outside at the valet pickup, people waiting for their cars couldn't help but watch the couple clinging to each other - both were in tears. They kissed emotionally several times before leaving together in a black Toyota. Dominic is from the UK where it's rumored that he and Evangeline are history. Maybe working together and dating too was just too much togetherness for the Lost stars.

This is the THIRD time Jessica Alba has changed her mind about her boyfriend Cash Warren. What's wrong with her? Last year they stopped seeing each other for a few weeks and after dodging the press, Jessica finally officially admitted they had broken up. No sooner were the words out of her mouth than she took him back! Last spring the same thing happened - the moment she admitted the split they got back together. This last time a big deal was made about her texting Cash good-bye. Two weekends ago he was alone a several charity functions. But this past week they've been getting chummy again - at the Polo Lounge. It's the Girl Who Cried Wolf! Maybe Jessica hates being single more than she dislikes her relationship.

Jennifer Aniston and her bricklayer-turned-model boyfriend Paul Sculfor have called it quits. And you'll never believe WHY: because HE"S TOO BUSY! The cute couple have been dating since last May when David Arquette introduced him. It started to look serious when Paul stayed at Jennifer's house several times when he was in Los Angeles. But Paul's modeling career is blossoming (thanks to Jennifer?) and he's been traveling nonstop. Jen wants a guy who's available - not on the road all the time. Especially on the road with gorgeous female models. They're still friends but Jennifer doesn't see a future there.

Now that Enrique Iglesias has said what he claims is his final farewell to the shapely tennis star Anna Kournikova, we have no regrets. Actually, we don't think he was such a great catch. He couldn't commit after all these years (a tendency inherited from his father?) and he didn't seem to realize that Anna gave him legitimacy. In other words, he was more interesting WITH her than without her. On the petty side, we always disliked his taste in headwear and the fact that he walked around with his mouth hanging open. Maybe he reconsidered the split, because now he's backtracking with "I was only kidding!" Anna, the ball's in your court.

It's official. Jessica Alba is back on the open market. She and her longtime boyfriend Cash Warren are both telling everyone that they broke up over a week ago and that's that. Friends speculate that Cash was too busy working all the time and Jessica was away working so much that they couldn't keep it together. Cash isn't a bad catch himself - he's the Yale educated son of actor Michael Warren. Guys all over LA will be thrilled that Jessica is single again - now she has nothing to do on her birthday April 28. Cash was planning to take her to the Coachella rock concert but now that's off. Jessica and Cash are hoping to keep the split civil but as of now, they're not talking.

We still can't get over the Dita Von Teese- Marilyn Manson divorce. We thought they were the perfect Hollywood couple. Whatever Marilyn did or did not do to cause Dita to file (SHE doesn't talk about it) - we predict he'll live to regret it. Friends of the once-happy pair say that Dita is not only a glamour girl of the first order, but a HOUSEWIFE too! "She's a homebody - she cooks like a dream, cleans and keeps house - and she does it all in stiletto heels!" We also hear that Dita is taking the high road- she doesn't want Marilyn's money - she has her own (MAC cosmetics takes very good care of her, thank you very much!) Currently Dita is working in Europe, and we bet Marilyn is missing those home-cooked meals and black seamed stockings!

It just leaked out that Hilary Duff's lookalike Barbie Doll played a big part in her bustup with Joel Madden! Back when Hilary was working closely with the Barbie people to develop the doll, the issue of how important her good-girl image is came up. Hilary was reminded that she must be a good role model for all those little girls buying dolls. Certain people worried about her boyfriend Joel's rockstar-punk image. Family and friends expressed THEIR concern over Joel's future - and questioned whether he just riding on successful Hilary's coattails. It got Hilary to thinking. She really wasn't happy with her relationship. Finally the Barbie makers brought up the subject of making a 'boyfriend" doll for Hilary's doll - like Ken is to Barbie. But they realized they couldn't make a tattooed pierced rocker doll of Joel, so they dropped the idea. Not long after that, Hilary dropped Joel.

Talk about a bummer family Thanksgiving. Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock must have had the Thanksgiving From Hell - far worse than most of us can even imagine. Picture the escalating domestic scene tthat bubbled to the surface over the long weekend and caused them to both abandon their wedding vows with such a vengeance. Relatives must have retreated in terror. The Ritchies actually raced each other to be first to file for divorce early Monday after the holiday weekend. Apparently it took less than four months for the couple to remember exactly what broke them up the first time they ALMOST got married a few years ago. Guess what - Kid still likes to drink and party with groupies on the road. And guess what again - Pam still likes to call the shots.

Britney Spears has given her hip hopping husband Kevin Federline the boot and we saw it coming. It all started on Halloween night when Kevin had his record release party at Xenii in Hollywood. Kevin arrived first and sat with Shar Jackson and his relatives. Britney came later with HER friends and the pair went to his dressing room where they had a loud argument. Both stormed off in opposite directions in the club. They drank a lot and socialized with everyone but each other. At one point Britney ran outside and across the parking lot muttering "I can't take this any more!" Her friends ran after her and brought her back inside. Britney left around 4 and Kevin left at 4:30. He didn't go home that night - he stayed with a friend in the valley. The next day he flew off to New York and that was that. When Britney arrived in New York Monday, Kevin was off to Canada. On Halloween a fellow clubgoer who knows the pair said "I think that marriage is over." He was right.

Whitney Houston IS declaring her independence from Bobby Brown. She's no longer leaving the driving to HIM. On Friday she was seen at the DMV in Hollywood where she apparently renewed her driver's license. She looked focused and must have passed her test because she had her picture taken before she left.

As readers know, we still insist that Justin Timberlake's romance with Cameron Diaz is doomed. Justin really cares for Cameron, so he tried to negotiate a clean and friendly split a few months ago. He wanted to be free to have fun on the road when his tour started in the fall. Cameron flatly refused to end their romance and convinced him to spend the summer with her. NOW we hear Cameron was absent from Justin's NY listening party at G-Spa , although she WAS on the east coast. According to PerezHilton.com Justin made it clear on an upcoming Ellen show that he has NO marriage plans. This romance is unravelling - slowly and surely - wait and see!

Travis Barker has become a hot commodity in Hollywood. Now that he and his wife Shanna Moakler have split up, Travis has been living it up at the W Hotel in Westwood and partying around the clock. His Meet the Barkers reality show put the tattooed Blink 182 musician on he map, and there's much speculation about his finances. Some insiders calculate he's worth millions now and his divorce could net him another thirty million or more if he gets half his wife's fortune. He's become a regular at the after hours club Xenii and when he was there Friday he wasted no time. He picked up a willing girl and left within fifteen minutes - he dumped his friends and was seen hopping into the girl's car. Tuesday night he and Jermaine Dupri (no Janet Jackson in sight) - held court at Holly's in Hollywood. The guys ordered at least TEN bottles of expensive champagne and entertained girls at their table all night. It's fun to be rich and single in Hollywood.

Lock up your shapely dark haired daughters! Prince is on the prowl again. His wife Manuela Testolini filed for divorce in Minneapolis on May 25. How Prince kept it under the radar THIS long is amazing - but then, no one was really sure until now that he was actually married! Our insightful colleague C.J. at the Star Tribune in Minneapolis just dug up this information. When we pondered why the couple split up, C.J. offered "Living with a short man who has to walk around in high heels has to be IMPOSSIBLE!
